Arianny Celeste > Audrina Patridge

Kudos to Arianny Celeste for making it into US Weekly magazine and kicking Audrina Patridge‘s butt in the “Who Wore It Best” poll with a whopping 86 percent of voters preferring Celeste in the dress.

Kudos to Arianny Celeste for making it into US Weekly magazine and kicking Audrina Patridge‘s butt in the “Who Wore It Best” poll with a whopping 86 percent of voters preferring Celeste in the dress over 14 percent that voted for Patridge. Personally, I think it was Audrina’s hairstyle that did her in. You could surf that wave above her forehead.

US Weekly tagged the picture by saying:

The model brightened up in a Boulee number in Hollywood. The VH1 Reality wowed in the sexy cutout mini in Los Angeles.

Too bad they listed Celeste as a model and not an Octagon Girl. Guess US Weekly hasn’t quite caught on to the MMA sports phenomenon created by the UFC. Maybe, next time…

Jens Pulver is a former UFC lightweight champion and one of the classiest fighters the sport of mixed martial arts has ever seen. But at age 36, he just doesn’t have it anymore.

That was on display once again when Pulver fought Brian Davidson Friday night on a Titan Fighting Championships card, as Pulver tapped out to a rear-naked choke in the first round, for his seventh loss in his last nine fights. The stoppage officially came at 4 minutes, 4 seconds of Round 1.

In fairness to Pulver, it should be noted that he did start fast, and he appeared to be hurt by an illegal kick to the head on the ground that Davidson landed. But the bottom line is Pulver simply isn’t a good fighter anymore.

“It was his night — I’m not going to take anything away,” Pulver said afterward. “He deserved it. He came out like an animal. You should all be proud of him. Damn, I am.”

Pulver acknowledged in his post-fight interview that many of his fans want him to quit, but Pulver said that’s not going to happen.

“I’ll retire when I want to,” Pulver said.

The co-main event of the Titan card was a debacle, as UFC veteran Jake Rosholt brutalized John Ott for the better part of three rounds, turning Ott’s face into a bloody mess. But Rosholt stupidly bashed Ott in the head with his knee while Ott was on the ground, knocking Ott senseless, ending the fight and resulting in Ott winning by disqualification.

The Titan undercard featured a number of mismatches, with four fights being finished in the first round: Rudy Bears needed just 3:30 to submit Darryl Cobb with a rear-naked choke. Jared Rosholt took 1:37 to take Kirk Grinlinton down and pound him out. Joe Wilk submitted Jesse Zeugin with an anaconda choke at 3:36 of the first round. Sean Wilson got Deryck Ripley to tap to a toe hold after two minutes.

Jon Jones and Rampage Jackson to Fight

Should Quinton “Rampage” Jackson get past Matt Hamill this weekend at UFC 130, he may be the next on tap for a title-shot at Jon Jones who is currently healing a thumb injury. Both fighters.

Should Quinton “Rampage” Jackson get past Matt Hamill this weekend at UFC 130, he may be the next on tap for a title-shot at Jon Jones who is currently healing a thumb injury. Both fighters share a mutual disdain for Rashad Evans, so it will be fun for us to see how the smack talk turns if the two are scheduled to meet in October. Jones revealed the UFC‘s plans for Jackson as the next contender (or even possibly Lyoto Machida) during a radio interview with 1260 The Score

“I had to postpone my first title defense against Rashad Evans due to some torn tissues in my thumb. My last doctor’s appointment they told me I should be able to get back to full out training within the next month. I’m excited about that. I’m expected to compete against Lyoto Machida or Rampage Jackson in maybe October, mid-October.”

Rampage Jackson is Allergic to Bullsh*t! (VIDEO)

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson must have taken time off from his heavy training regime for his UFC 130 bout against Matt Hamill to film this Boost Mobile commercial.

Jackson plays the role of a “Bullsh*t Detector.” Apparently, the role could have gone to Jon Fitch, as well, as he seems to hold the same bullsh*t detecting capabilities. Just yesterday, Fitch tweeted to his coach, Dave Camarillo:

“@DaveCamarillo why would that fight be good. Diaz got title cause Sheilds vacated the belt. Paper champ,” he wrote, before continuing bluntly, “Keep that going Fitch Fanatics #GSPvsDiaz=bullsh**”

I never saw the A Team movie but I did invest the 1 minute 55 seconds into watching this video and…yeah, I can say Rampage is a pretty good actor.

Rashad Evans gave ProMMARadio a detailed version of his “Surrender” nightclub confrontation with Jon Jones last weekend in Las Vegas, and below is a transcript of the incident according to Evans *Note: my god, he seems to have memorized the incident word for word.

You can read Evan’s account below or wait for his appearance on HDNet this Friday night where he “SETS THE RECORD STRAIGHT ON RECENT CONFRONTATION WITH JON JONES” according to a press release from HDNet’s Inside MMA. Poor HDNet were probably thrilled to book Evans and get his side, but for a guy who says Jon Jones “couldn’t let it go” (which apparently started their confrontation) he sure seems eager to talk about it.

“I saw Jon this past week at the fighter summit and we were at the same location. He pulled me to the side and he said ‘Rashad, I need to talk to you, I think things are getting out of control.’ I thought it was pretty mature for the young guy instead of just ignoring me,” told Evans.

“First thing he said was ‘I just wanna be the first to tell you is I’m gonna destroy you, I’m gonna annihilate you and I’m gonna show the world you’re overrated. I’m gonna punish you and you’ll be my first highlight reel knockout’ and I just started laughing.

“You brought me out here to tell me you’re gonna destroy me? Let’s not even talk about how stupid that sounds. Why would you wanna come way over here to say that in private. Furthermore, how did you even come up with that? He’s like ‘Rashad, remember when I was catching you with knees and elbows in training’ but I said ‘I was simulating Bader. I wasn’t trying to beat you, Jon. I was simulating Bader and what he might do.’

“I told him, ‘Do you remember when I held you down and I was slapping you and punching you in the face and you were underneath me and you couldn’t move and then you looked me in the eye and said ‘Ok, can we get up now?’ and I said ‘No Jon, if you quit now, you’ll quit in the fight. You gotta earn your way up.’ So we fought some more and you couldn’t move some more and you said ‘can you help me?’ and I said ‘No, you have to earn your way up’ and we go for a little bit longer and you still can’t get up so you roll on your back to let me choke you out thinking I’d let you up and be satisfied with that but I didn’t. I continued to make you work up.’

“I said ‘do you remember that?’ and he said ‘yeah, I remember that’ and I said ‘that’s why you don’t want to fight me’ and he was just lost for words for a second and then he told me, ‘Rashad, you just motivating me. You don’t know what you started’ and it just went like that and it just ended when a couple people from our parties separated the two of us. He couldn’t let it go.”

In the video here, Las Vegas plastic surgeon Dr. Frank Stiles takes us inside the surgery he performed on former UFC fighter Phil Baroni. But as Stiles explains, operating on Baroni’s nose really wasn’t plastic surgery — he wasn’t just trying to make Baroni more handsome.

Instead, Stiles was fixing what he called “a functional deformity,” and he said the surgery “will result in better breathing for Phil” and “enhance his ability to train.”

In other words, this isn’t cosmetic surgery. This is performance-enhancing surgery. And it may become commonplace for mixed martial artists.
