The MMA Wrap-Up: Post-Strikeforce Edition

Filed under:

After a busy week in professional prizefighting, the MMA Wrap-Up returns to look at the frantic chain of custody surrounding the Strikeforce light heavyweight title and ask, are we better off now that Dan Henderson has turned “Feijao” Cavalcante into another one-and-done champion? The MMA Wrap-Up: Post-UFC 127 Edition

The original plan for this edition of the MMA Wrap-Up was to focus on the main event of UFC 127, perhaps even tackling complex issues like scoring in MMA and what to do about questionable decisions in number one contender bouts. As you’ll see below, it didn’t quite work out that way. Maybe it’s all for the best, but you can be the judge of that. I know you’ll at least give it a shot.

With UFC 125 in the books, the MMA Wrap-Up returns to look at an amazing lightweight title fight and ask one simple question: how can something so exciting, so thrilling, and so important possibly end in a draw?

The answer we arrive at could change combat sports forever, or do nothing at all. Definitely one of those two things, though.
