Boxing legend and Golden Boy Promotions frontman Oscar De La Hoya is facing allegations of sexual assault, sexual battery, gender violence, negligence, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, per a report from TMZ.

The plaintiff accusing De La Hoya is having their identity protected under the name “Jane Doe.” The suit was filed in the L.A. County Superior Court. Jane Doe claims a sexual relationship between themself and De La Hoya began as consensual, but then took a terrible turn in November of 2017 when the boxing legend invited her to check out his new Pasadena home.

Doe claims De La Hoya had several bottles of alcohol and “a bag of what appeared to be cocaine” in his kitchen upon her arrival. She then realized he was fully intent on getting wasted. After he became intoxicated, Doe alleges De La Hoya invited her into the bedroom for intercourse, where he asked if she wanted to “experiment” sexually.

Doe states she declined several unusual requests from De La Hoya, who became frustrated. She then claims the boxer “ultimately held her down with one arm while forcefully trying to insert his fist into Plaintiff’s vagina.” She goes on to detail a disturbing scene in which she “repeatedly said no and demanded that De La Hoya stop. However, De La Hoya overpowered her and suddenly and forcefully pushed his hand and fist into Plaintiff’s vagina.”

After that, Doe claims she screamed in pain and yelled at De La Hoya, who only laughed and told her to take a shot of alcohol. Doe declined the drink before leaving the house. She claimed the aftermath of the incident left her with “extreme swelling and pain for which she was prescribed medication at urgent care.”

She also “sought treatment with a Doctor of Psychology and Certified Sex Therapist who diagnosed Plaintiff with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder arising from the sexual battery by De La Hoya.” We’ll keep you updated as we learn more.

It’s no secret that UFC president Dana White and Golden Boy Promotions’ Oscar De La Hoya don’t like each other.

Things seemed to go sour between the promoters once White booked Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather alongside Showtime Boxing back in 2017. De La Hoya began to bash the matchup, urging fans not to watch it, before suggesting a fight between McGregor and Canelo Alvarez – or De La Hoya himself, would be better.

Speaking with Sirius XM, White was asked about his beef with De La Hoya, who he called a “scumbag” for trying to hurt the McGregor vs. Mayweather fight after White had supported his promotions all years prior. (H/T World Boxing News)

“So me and Oscar used to be cool, right. He’d have these fights and I would literally promote his fights on my social media and I would obviously watch the fights and stuff like that. Then, we do Mayweather versus McGregor and this guy starts going out pleading with boxing fans not to watch it.

“I mean who does that? Just a real scumbag move. Then, as soon as the fight’s over he says he wants to fight McGregor next. So the Mayweather versus McGregor was horrible for boxing but him fighting McGregor isn’t? Give me a break.”

De La Hoya also attempted to venture into the world of MMA promoting. He booked a bout between Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell this past November, a show that was ultimately a flop.

“Then he’s going to promote an MMA fight, good luck to him, anybody who wants to try and get into MMA good luck to you”, White said. “But then he says ‘we’re going to treat the athletes the way they should be treated – the UFC doesn’t’. He has a press conference, goes up on stage and he doesn’t even know any of the fighters’ names. Then the show is a complete disaster and flopped. After that, he comes out and starts lying, trying to say that it was very successful on digital. I mean I could just go on for days and days about what an absolute douche this guy is.

“People just don’t want to chat sh*t about Oscar except for me. ‘Well you have to respect his er…’ well I don’t have to respect anything from this guy anymore. The stuff that you respected from Oscar De La Hoya was 10 years ago, okay? That was ancient history. The new Oscar De La Hoya is a scumbag, a liar and a complete moron. So that’s where Oscar De La Hoya and I are.”

Oscar De La Hoya is not done venturing into the world of mixed martial arts. In fact, he’s planning something big for Golden Boy MMA’s return.

Golden Boy MMA’s first-ever show took place last year and was headlined by a grudge match between Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz. Despite the hype of the event, it was not much of a success in terms of pay-per-view buys.

It seemed like De La Hoya would stick to boxing afterwards but that’s not the case anymore. He even believes the first show was a success:

“I tried…actually I am getting into MMA and I am working on something very exciting and I am sure I am going to get a lot of heat from Dana White,” he said in a recent interview (via MMA Mania). “But this creates opportunity. You have Bellator and UFC, who want to monopolize the whole industry with Dana White being the cheerleader. But there is always room for another player.

“We did an MMA show that was successful. A lot of people loved it. It was two name fighters, over the hill, I believe, in Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz. But it was just a great atmosphere and a great event. So I told myself, ‘We have something here.’ We know how to promote and we know the industry. So we are working on something big right now.”

White Is A Bully

As De La Hoya embarked on his first MMA event, his feud with UFC president Dana White escalated at the time. And it will likely continue if the Golden Boy founder returns to MMA:

“He’s (White) is what we call a bully,” De La Hoya added. “He is one of those guys that has to bully you to get his way. That’s the bottom line. Why do you think a lot of his fighters aren’t happy with their contracts or how they get treated?

“Look, I obviously admire what the Fertitta’s brothers have accomplished and what they did and where they took the company. Obviously it wasn’t Dana White. It’s the Fertitta brothers who have the brains who took this company to a whole new level and sold it off for $4 billion. Dana White was just the best friend of the brain child. But look, what he’s done is great and I respect him.

De La Hoya claims to respect White but what if they competed against each other?

“I would be the shit out of him. Come on man, are you kidding me,” he added when asked of a boxing match between the two promoters. “Not in the Octagon, he’ll beat the crap out of me.”
