UFC middleweight title challenger, or as the poster states “The true middleweight champion,” Chael Sonnen features this poster on the background of his Twitter (@sonnench) account.
With the tagline “The Rematch Anderson Silva Has Been Running From” the two fighters are scheduled to meet this coming Saturday (July 7, 2012) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
I’m sure some of you die hards have already seen the poster already but it’s certainly amusing once you take a closer look at what the poster has to say.
Props to Maggie Hendricks at Yahoo! Sports for pointing that one out to me.

Asian based ONE Fighting Championships held it’s fourth show today at the Stadium Negara in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Promotion president Victor Cui organized a nine-bout card for the ONE FC: Destiny of Warriors event, marking their first pay-per-view show over the web (@ $9.99).
The card featured several lesser-known fighters along with several well known such as Renato ‘Babalu’ Sobral, Roger Huerta, and Tatsuya Mizuno on the card.
Sobral headlined the event versus Mizuno needing just thirty-one seconds to finish his Japanese opponent with an armbar submission.
Huerta, a former UFC and Bellator veteran, made his debut with ONE FC competing in a welterweight contracted bout versus fellow lightweight Zorobaabel Moreira who replaced Phil Baroni at the event. Huerta was looking to end his losing skid but came up well short after tiring out and eating a legal soccer kick while on the ground.

The official weigh-ins for ONE Fighting Championship’s “Destiny of Warriors” took place this morning (on this side of the World) at the Berjaya Times Square Hotel in Malaysia. The live event was closed to the public with fighters, coach staff, and media the only ones in attendance.
Of the eighteen fighters to hit the scales only two failed to make weight for their matches. Coming in too heavy were Mitch Chilson, who was 1kg (2.2 lbs) over, and Eric Kelly who was 0.6kg (1.32 lbs) over. Both fighters are competing at featherweight (66 kg) in their respective bouts.
Two fighters did not weigh-in, as Allamurad Karayev and Roldan Sangcha’an did not step onto the scale. No word if their bout was scrapped or not.
