The Strikeforce promotion held it’s open workouts on Wednesday for this weekends Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine event, which is set to go down Jan. 7, 2012 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Check out main card fighters middleweight champ Luke Rockhold, Keith Jardine, Muhammed ‘King Mo’ Lawal, Lorenz Larkin and Tyron Woodley out.
Welterweight fighter Johny Hendricks made a big statement to the rest of the UFC’s 170-lbs division by finishing Jon Fitch via knockout in twelve-seconds of the opening round of their UFC 141 main card bout. The win now puts Hendricks at 7-1 overall in the Octagon since joining the UFC back in August 2009.

Fighters for DREAM’s Fight For Japan: Genki Desu Ka Omisoka 2011 event in Japan hit the scales today in Tokyo.
Main event headliners Fedor Emelianenko (106 kg/233.2 lbs) and Satoshi Ishii (97.4 kg/214.3 lbs) were both on weight for their heavyweight bout, while the two DREAM title fights were made official as fighters hit their marks as well.
Lightweight champ Shinya Aoki (70 kg/154 lbs) meets Satoru Kitaoka (70 kg/154 lbs), while featherweight title holder Hiroyuki Takaya (65 kg/143 lbs) takes on Takeshi ‘Lion’ Inoue (64.8 kg/142.6 lbs).
The only fighter to miss weight on their initial attempt was bantamweight grand-prix semifinalist Rodolfo Marques Niniz who weighed in at 62.2 kg (136.8 lbs) on his first attempt.
The nine hour event, which includes mma/kickboxing/pro-wrestling matches begins at 10pm EST tonight and will air live on HDNet from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.

Former WEC bantamweight champion Miguel Torres (40-4) is back with the Ultimate Fighting Championship after he was released earlier this month for a controversial Tweet about “rape vans.”
Torres was on hand for today’s UFC 141 pre-fight press conference in Las Vegas, with UFC president Dana White explaining to the gathered media that the fighter had taken responsibility for his actions, as well as making amends by visiting and donating money to local rape centers.
News, as well as the photo, were provided by MMAFighting.com’s Ariel Helwani who Tweeted (@arielhelwani) the news on Wednesday afternoon.
Dana says Torres is back. Torres has donated money to local rape centers, visited them. Dana says Torres was very remorseful.
Dana says Torres handled his business like a man and no one told him to do it. Torres very emotional.
Torres returns to the UFC after three weeks since he was fired by the top promotion. He is currently 1-1 in his last two and is 3-1 in his last four. Torres was last in action in November at UFC 139, defeating an overweight Nick Pace (who weighed in at 141 lbs for their bantamweight bout), by unanimous decision at the San Jose event. Previous to the win, Torres suffered a decision loss to Demetrious Johnson in May at UFC 130.
