For a fight that has yet to be scheduled, it’s getting mighty difficult to care about either fighter in the ongoing Jon Jones vs. Rashad Evans bitter feud. Both grown men seem as they are less likely hyping their fight and more likely to be so pumped on their own hype that they can’t see straight.

In the latest exchange between the two fighters, Jon Jones commented to ESPN that he could have finished Evans in training “numerous times.” This obviously irked Evans who took to Twitter with this comeback:

“ @jonnybones must b high! Cuz remember him looking at me begging me 2 let him up cuz he couldn’t get back 2 his feet in training.”

and then also these two:

“@ jonnybones is a Swagger Jacker!”

@ jonnybones will b mma’s version of Milli Vinilli.. Wait until the curtain comes down cuz it will!! he is fake! The fighting is off the hook but as a person he is fake!”

*Editor’s Note: Milli Vanili? Really Rashad? Way to go dating yourself by using a reference to a 1980s pop duo. Probably not the best idea to make you look so much older than your spry young opponent. You couldn’t come back with a more recent fake black person? How about maybe this guy?

But I digress and show you Jon Jones’ clever response:

@ SugaRashadEvans #cmonson

Well, if that doesn’t say it all! Actually, it doesn’t. I had to refer to this definition from Urban Dictionary to understand the massive insulting weight of being called “son”: “to be called son is to be belittled, disrespected!! [Example:] I call you my son cuz ill beat you like your Father.”

The continuous exchange between the two fighters is getting tired. It’s pointless and embarrassing and makes both fighters look like they have their heads so far up their own asses, they can’t see what a little self-respect looks like. Don’t get me wrong, I can’t wait to see this fight, but I like watching fights a whole lot more when I actually give a shit about the fighter. Hopefully both guys remember they are known and liked for their seemingly humbled personas and not this crap. But if they continue with these exchanges… at the very least… can they please be clever?
