Sean Strickland defends Leon Edwards dead father comment Colby Covington he's a fake coward UFC

Sean Strickland went in on UFC 296 headliner Colby Covington after the two-time title challenger made an especially horrendous comment about Leon Edward’s deceased father.

48 hours ahead of his long-awaited return to the Octagon, Covington stepped on stage and delivered a barrage of insults aimed at the reigning welterweight world champion. Most of it was innocent enough, but ‘Chaos’ took things one giant leap too far when he made an ill-advised crack about Edward’s father who passed away when the defending champ was only 13 years old.

The remark earned a heated response from Edwards who chucked a water bottle at Covington before being restrained by on-site security.

Sean Strickland Unloads on Colby Covington

Multiple members of the MMA community slammed Covington’s vile comment, including Jamahal Hill, Belal Muhammad, Marvin Vettori, and Megan Anderson. Unsurprisingly, the most scathing response to Covington’s verbal low blow came from current middleweight king Sean Strickland, who held absolutely nothing back during a press event on Friday.

“Colby is an utter piece of sh*t. If you know Colby on a personal level, he f*cked over everybody he f*cking knows and I take Colby as a personal insult to me because Trumpsters, the republican, you guys are my f*cking people,” Strickland said. “The blue-collar workers. You guys are my f*cking people and you have a c*nt like Colby taking up the banner and he don’t give a f*ck about you and him making fun of Leon’s dad, that is the biggest f*cking c*nt move you can do.

“Bad guy, good guy, doesn’t f*cking matter. He raised a boy to be a f*cking man. To win a title. To be a good man and a real f*cking American would applaud him for that. They wouldn’t tear him down for that. So just so you know, Colby is a fake f*cking p*ssy and if he was standing here right next to me, the only f*cking thing he would do is call 911 because he is the definition of a f*cking b*tch.

Colby Covington hopes that the third time will be the charm at UFC 296 as he steps inside the Octagon for yet another welterweight title opportunity. ‘Chaos’ came up short in two attempts to claim gold against former champion Kamaru Usman. His only two victories over the last four years have come against Tyron Woodley and Jorge Masvidal, two fighters who have since retired from the sport altogether.

Sean Strickland will be back in action at UFC 297 in January to defend his middleweight title for the first time. Four months removed from his shocking unanimous decision victory over Israel Adesanya, ‘Tarzan’ will square off with South African standout and No. 2 ranked contender Dricus Du Plessis.

Sean Strickland rips Sean O'Malley during UFC presser and now we've got this clown over here

Taking center stage at tonight’s massive UFC 2024 Seasonal press conference in Las Vegas, undisputed middleweight champion, Sean Strickland ripped into his bantamweight champion counterpart, Sean O’Malley – branding the Montana native a “clown” while mocking his persona.

Strickland, who takes main event honors at UFC 297 next month as part of the first pay-per-view event of the year for the promotion, takes on surging contender, Dricus du Plessis as he attempts to defend his crown for the first time.

As for O’Malley, the Dana White’s Contender Series alum is slated to headline UFC 299 in April in the promotion’s return to Miami, taking on soon-to-be two-time foe, Marlon Vera in the pair’s bantamweight championship rematch in Florida.

And sharing the stage with O’Malley tonight during the 2024 Seasonal press conference event for the UFC, outspoken middleweight kingpin, Sean Strickland hit out at Sean O’Malley branding the bantamweight best a “clown” – as well as taking aim at his and his partner’s polyamorous relationship

Engaging in a shouting match back-and-forth, O’Malley then claimed that Strickland was sexually abused by his father during his childhood, leading to a tirade from the defending middleweight kingpin – who poked fun at his appearance.

Ian Garry fears for the Safety of his family heading into UFC 296: ‘I’m a little bit cautious about going to America’

Ian Garry

Ian Garry is days away from the biggest fight of his mixed martial arts career.

On December 16, Ian Garry will return to the Octagon for a high-stakes welterweight clash with No. 8 ranked contender Vicente Luque. However, most of the headlines concerning Garry have had nothing to do with his upcoming clash. Instead, they’ve largely focused on the drama surrounding his wife and a curiously titled book she authored more than a decade ago.

With fans and fellow fighters slamming him on social media and in interviews, Garry is being very cautious as he travels to the U.S. for his seventh appearance with the promotion.

“I’m excited for UFC 296,” Garry said speaking to TNT Sports. “I think it’s a massive card. A card with all the big names, a lot of big matchups. I’m a little bit cautious about going to America for the safety of my family with all the sh*t that’s been going on online. To protect my wife, to protect my child, to protect myself.”

Last month, reigning UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland took aim at Garry, and his wife, Layla Anna-Lee, who wrote a guidebook teaching older women how to date young athletes and celebrities. The book in question, titled How to Be a WAG, was described by Anna-Lee as satirical, but Strickland wasn’t buying it.

Strickland dubbed Anna-Lee, who is 14 years older than Garry, as a “succubus” and a “predator.” That seemingly opened the floodgates for fans online to join in on the hate, forcing ‘The Future’ to privatize his social media channels.

Ian Garry Remains as Confident as Ever going into UFC 296

Amid all the background noise, Ian Garry was still trying to prepare for a massive fight at the UFC’s final pay-per-view of the year. Asked if all the comments and news coverage could potentially affect his performance come fight night, ‘The Future’ said:

“I’m not remotely concerned or worried about the fight. The fight’s fun. The fight’s easy for me. It’s always something I enjoy, something I love.”

Chances are, Ian Garry and Sean Strickland will cross paths at some point during the fight week festivities, or at the event itself, but for the most part, the Irishman is ready to let bygones be bygones. For now, anyway.

“The buildup to fight week I love,” Machado Garry said. “The press conferences, weigh-ins, everything. I love it. It’s energy. I thrive off it, but me not being able to react to people in person, it’s going to wind me up a little bit” (h/t MMA Fighting).

UFC 296 Headliner Colby Covington slams ‘Sensitive Soy Boy’ Ian Garry in Expletive-Filled Attack

As bad as things have been for Ian Garry, they’re about to get a hell of a lot worse.

On December 16, ‘The Future’ will return to the Octagon at UFC 296 for a welterweight clash with No. 8 ranked contender Vicente Luque. But before he steps in the cage, Garry will step on the stage to take part in the pre-fight press event alongside one of the most outspoken personalities in mixed martial arts, Colby Covington.

Known for his brutal burns and scathing slams, Covington likely has a notebook of insults ready to go once he’s within earshot of the rising Irish star.

Already getting started, ‘Chaos’ shared his take on Garry’s response to all of the backlash he has been dealt over the last several weeks.

“I’ve had death threats. Bombings. People have wanted to kill me after Brazil,” Covington said during an interview with All Out Fighting. “I never turned off my social media. I never turned off my comments. Look at that little Ian Garry. He’s turning off his comments like a little f*cking sensitive soy boy.

So, you know, he ain’t tough. He ain’t the biggest and baddest f*cking fighter in this division. That guy’s a f*cking joke. He’s a little f*cking kid.”

will Colby Covington 1-Up Sean Strickland at the expense of ian garry?

Garry’s social media channels went private shortly after UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland released a video addressing a book Garry’s wife, Layla Anna-Lee, had written more than a decade ago entitled How to Be a WAG. The guidebook of sorts advises older women on how to date and marry young athletes and celebrities. Anna-Lee has since claimed that the book was meant to be satirical, but given the fact that she is 14 years older than Garry, not everyone was buying her explanation.

Strickland took particular exception to the news, calling Anna-Lee a “succubus” and a “predator” in multiple online attacks that prompted Garry to threaten legal action against ‘Tarzan’ before limiting his audience on socials.

If Ian Garry had a hard time dealing with Sean Strickland’s insults, he’s in for a world of hurt when he steps into the same room with Colby Covington.

Sean Strickland sends a word of warning to ‘Funny little dweeb’ Ian Garry following UFC P.I. encounter

The ongoing saga between Sean Strickland and Ian Garry appears to be far from over.

Garry and his wife, Layla Anna-Lee, have drawn the ire of the MMA community after fans discovered that Anna-Lee wrote a book more than a decade ago entitled How to Be a WAG. The book acts as a guidebook for older women looking to secure relationships with younger athletes and celebrities. Garry and his wife have both called it nothing more than pure satire, but given the fact that Anna-Lee is 14 years older than Garry, not everyone is buying their explanation.

That includes reigning UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland who targeted the couple in multiple videos, labeling Anna-Lee as a “succubus” and encouraging Garry to get out of the relationship.

The online rant resulted in Garry threatening legal action against Strickland which only exacerbated the situation.

As it turns out, Strickland and Garry ran into one another at the UFC P.I. in Las Vegas. Needless to say, the encounter was nothing short of awkward.

“I went to the P.I. today and I ran into the f*cking cuck, Ian Garry,” Strickland said on Instagram. “Awkward, man, awkward. He looked at me hard. Security had to escort us around. F*cking awkward sh*t, right? I’m laughing my ass off.

“Garry, I don’t f*cking hate you, I actually like you,” he continued. “I think you’re a f*cking funny little dweeb. You make me f*cking laugh. I think you’re a dumbass f*cking kid who got some p*ssy that was too good for him and it got in his head and it f*cked you up. I look at you like a victim” (h/t MMA Mania).

Strickland is willing to throw hands with Garry if that’s what ‘The Future’ wants

Ian Garry will gun for his 14th straight win inside the Octagon on December 16 when he meets No. 8 ranked welterweight contender Vicente Luque at UFC 296.

In the meantime, the promotion will likely be keen on keeping Garry and Strickland away from one another, especially with ‘Tarzan’ scheduled for his first defense of the 185-pound crown in January. Of course, that won’t stop Strickland from throwing hands with Garry should that be where ‘The Future’ needs to take things.

“I don’t wanna fight you, bro,” Strickland said. “I’m happy for your success, I’m happy for you. But if you look at me hard and you’re feeling some kind of way, if you’re feeling like you need to get this sh*t f*cking handled, and you want to look at me hard and that’s what you want, slide up in the DMs, bro. I don’t want it, but if that’s what you want, you know where to find me, man.”

Ian Garry

Rising contender Ian Garry may have to make a pitstop in the middleweight division before continuing his ascent up the welterweight ladder.

Ian Garry has been the subject of much controversy in recent weeks with fighters such as Leon Edwards and Sean Brady having issues with him inside the gym. However, many of the headlines have focused on Garry’s seemingly unconventional relationship with his wife, Layla Anna-Lee, who wrote a book more than a decade ago entitled How to Be a Wag.

Only spanning 11 pages, the guidebook of sorts teaches older women how to work their way into relationships with young athletes and celebrities. Anna-Lee has described the book as nothing more than satire, but given the fact that she is 14 years older than Garry, a lot of fans and even a few fighters have questioned her motives. That includes reigning middleweight champion Sean Strickland who went off on Garry and his “succubus” wife in a series of videos posted on social media.

All the negative attention appears to be getting to Ian Garry, as evidenced by a brief video clip shared on his now-protected X account. In the clip, ‘The Future’ admitted that all the talk from Strickland has him considering a quick stop at middleweight to settle their issues inside the Octagon.

“The more people talk, the harder I work,” Garry said. “I’ve got more people to prove wrong. It’s not fueling me, it’s p*ssing me off. I might have to win a middleweight world title before I win the welterweight.

Sean Strickland Takes Another Dig at Ian Garry

Strickland, like everyone else, was quick to notice that Garry had restricted his X account, prompting yet another outburst from the outspoken king of 185.

F*cking cuck made his tweeter private lmao!!!!!!!!! Yall bullied him too much,” Strickland wrote alongside a screenshot of Garry’s private account.

Amid all the surrounding drama, Garry will look to score his 14th straight win on December 16 when he steps inside the Octagon for a high-stakes scrap with No. 8 ranked welterweight contender, Vicente Luque. ‘The Future’ has won six straight under the UFC banner while Luque will look to make it back-to-back W’s following his unanimous decision over former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos.
