Half of the guys on the UFC 120 preliminary card will be making their Octagon debuts, hoping to claim some TV time by smashing their veteran opponents — or at the very least not do so poorly that they’re immediately fired. Take a look at the first three today, and keep an eye out for them on Saturday…
CURT WARBURTON (LW) Experience: 7-2-1 record in various British promotions, with 6 wins by first-round stoppage. Warburton fought TUF 9 winner Ross Pearson three times in the Total Combat UK league, going an even 1-1-1 in the series. Will be facing:Spencer Fisher (23-6, 8-5 UFC) Lowdown: Warburton is a Wolfslair MMA Academy product who "used to dig holes for a living" before discovering MMA. He described himself as "gobsmacked" by his four-fight UFC contract, and is humbled by the opportunity that’s been put in front of him. “I got butterflies when I was given [Fisher’s] name," Warburton says. "It took me by surprise a little bit, as he’s a top fighter and very experienced. When you get used to seeing people fight on television, it becomes a little strange to then be told you’ve got to fight him. Like everyone else, I’ve enjoyed watching Spencer fight over the years, and it was a bit of a ‘wow’ moment for me when I discovered I’d be fighting him on my UFC debut…I’ve got to go out there and prove to everybody that I belong at this level. This is my chance to keep on doing something that I love. If I can’t perform on the night, and can’t do it on the big stage, I’ll have to give up on something I love and go back to work."

UFC lightweight Spencer Fisher was arrested in Bettendorf, Iowa on Tuesday for "interfering with an official act," which could mean anything from tearing up a parking ticket a meter maid was writing him to refusing to allow animal control to take his dog that had gotten loose from his yard.
He was released on $300 bond on his own recognizance.
Here’s the section of the Iowa criminal code that deals with the misdemeanor charge:

If, like me, you’re in Las Vegas for tonight’s TUF 11 Finale, you have no shortage of gambling options. From the video slots that no one, least of all those playing, seem to actually enjoy, to the crowded craps tables where someone will always shout ‘Come on, seven!’ presumably just because they want to replicate the experience they’ve seen on TV, it’s a carnival of different ways to lose some money.
But if you really want a thrill, try looking to a fight card populated with fighters on the way up and fighters on the way down. The exciting part is, it’s hard to know at first glance which ones are which. Below, let’s take a look at some of the betting odds for tonight’s finale of season 11 of “The Ultimate Fighter.”

LAS VEGAS – All fighters made weight on Friday afternoon for Saturday night’s Ultimate Fighter Finale. With the exception of lightweight Spencer Fisher, who had to strip to his birthday suit to hit the 156 mark, no one had any trouble coming in on target and making tomorrow night’s fight card official.
The two main event fighters and season eleven “Ultimate Fighter” finalists Kris McCray and Court McGee both got big ovations from the crowd in the Key West ballroom inside the Palms casino, while fellow contestant Jamie Yager entered to a mixture of cheers and jeers from the fans.
The event airs Saturday night on Spike TV at 9 pm ET/PT, and MMA Fighting will be live blogging all the action from the prelims to the main event. Full weigh-in results are below.
