Professional wrestling legend Stone Cold Steve Austin has praised Tai Tuivasa following his KO win over Augusto Sakai at UFC 269 this past weekend.

Tuivasa extended his win streak to four and picked up perhaps the biggest win of his career when he knocked out the #11 ranked heavyweight Sakai.

The Aussie puncher then hopped the cage and downed a beer from a shoe after his second-round KO win.

Popular YouTuber SteveWillDoIt was the man on hand to provide Tuivasa with a much-need trainer to drink his beer out of.

MMA reporter Ariel Helwani later sent a clip of Tuivasa’s celebration to notorious beer lover ‘Stone Cold’ who gave ‘Bam Bam’ his seal of approval.

Tai Tuivasa Clashed With Security After His Win At UFC 269

During his post-fight press conference, Tuivasa was miffed at a party popping security guard who refused to let him engage with fans during his exit from the arena. ‘Bam Bam’ revealed he has something of a bust-up with the unknown man.

“I got pushed out of there (the arena) pretty fast and (I) had a bit of an altercation with one of the officials. So, hopefully, don’t do that again, please,” Tuivasa revealed.

“I understand he’s doing his job but he wasn’t a UFC worker or anything. To be honest, I don’t know what he was. He just pushed me out of (the arena),” Tuivasa added. “You know, my fans come to watch me knock people out and do f*cking shoeys. I felt like he was pushing me out of there and trying to tell me how to do my job when I don’t tell him how to sign gloves and shit.”

UFC heavyweight Tai Tuivasa will look to keep his winning streak alive against veteran Walt Harris at UFC 267.

The event is scheduled for October 30th in Abu Dhabi. It will be the first time the UFC returns to “Fight Island” since January of 2021. The fight announcement was first reported by MMA Junkie.

The event is headlined by Jan Blachowicz defending his light heavyweight title against Glover Teixeira. Aljamain Sterling is set to rematch Petr Yan for the bantamweight title in the co-main event on that card as well. Undefeated prospect Khamzat Chimaev is also set to make his return after a long battle with COVID-19 against Li Jingliang.

Tuivasa has been on a hot streak lately, winning three straight all by first round knockout. This follows a stretch where he lost three in a row as well. He is also known for doing a ‘shoey’ after winning fights. That is where he grabs a random fans dirty shoe, pours a beer in it, spits in it, and then proceeds to chug it out of the shoe.

On the other side, Harris is enduring the worst form of his UFC career so far. He was lost three straight, all by first or second round stoppage. Harris has been dealing with a lot of personal trauma during this time as well. In 2019 his step daughter was kidnapped and murdered after shopping at a convenience store in Alabama.
