In Russia, the fans fight.

Stephen Douglas of The Big Lead spotted a video that serves as a great reminder never to judge a book by its cover—or, in this case, never to judge a potential MMA fighter by the jean shorts he might be wearing.

While what’s going on in the video is apparent despite the language barrier, Middle Easy’s Zeus explains exactly what transpired as a fan gets picked from the stands to fight.

According to the report, the site received an email explaining the video that started with the following:

Hi this is one of the best fight on Arrows
One opponent not coming to fight and we ask people, who wont fight?
One guy say i am wont, he is name Dmitry
i write little text transcription for you

It might be a jumbled mess of a message, but from it, we gather that the fighter, Dmitry Dzubay, was not in the least bit unprepared to fight on this particular day.

As we see in the video, this “fan” is rather adept at fighting and delivers a swift takedown the second the fight begins. Thanks to Middle Easy, there is a transcript of what is being said, which gives us some more vitals on this MMA maestro.

Dzubay is a student who does have a “little” training in wrestling, which explains his instincts to take this thing to the ground as quickly as possible.

Unfortunately, we cannot verify the veracity of the tall tale, but it certainly seems like Dzubay was there just to watch some MMA mastery.

Being the optimists that we are, we’d like to believe the young man was just having some fun after being granted the opportunity to test his mettle. Well, he passed the test with flying colors and should now enjoy the kind of Internet fame that comes from knocking a trained fighter out cold.

Just a Video of MMA Fighter Jinh Yu Breaking Her Hand on Darla Harris’ Face

Jinh Yu hit Darla Harris in the face so hard that she broke her hand.

That’s not a joke, and it’s certainly not sports hyperbole to sell a point. No, she actually hurt herself by dominating so harshly and punching so vigorously.

The video has been floating around the interwebz for a bit but was recently spotted by Stephen Douglas of The Big Lead (h/t For the Win’s Nick Schwartz) who posted it to their site.

The face-altering punch comes from the Sugar Creek Showdown 18 match that saw Yu come away as the victor but not unscathed.

The fighter took to Twitter to inform her fans just how brutal that hit really was. Here is the first tweet:

We presume some fans disregarded this tweet as far too remarkable to be true. If that’s the case, Yu followed up with a far more thorough post a couple of days later, showing off the gnarly fracture in her hand.

Then again, we may be missing the point in all this, because we failed to recognize the measured takedown of her opponent.

Yu marvelously sets up the entire knockout with a left foot to the face, which seems to stun Harris for an ill-fated moment.

It even looks like Harris is leaning ever so slightly into the punch when Yu drops the hammer. From there, the punch levels Harris and fractures Yu‘s hand.

It was like a Dragonball Z kamehameha blast that devastated all in the immediate area. This amazing fighter hit her opponent so hard with one punch she needed medical treatment right after.

Boom goes the dynamite, indeed.

Fan Gets Ripped After Asking Ronda Rousey How Much Sex She Has Before Fights

Apparently, asking for an autograph just doesn’t do it for fans anymore.

UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey snapped at a fan who dared ask her about how much sex she has before a fight.

A tip of the hat to Yahoo! Sports for spotting this brilliant moment when an athlete decided to make an example out of a rude fan and cut him down in front of every captivated bystander.

Twitter user Eric Holden uploaded the video to YouTube and claims the fan asked Rousey how many times she has sex before her fights.

If the amateur interviewer had a smartphone and about two seconds to check, he would have found multiple cases where Rousey answers this very question.

For instance, here with Jim Rome

And here on HBO’s Real Sports

And here with Conan O’Brien

Just think of how annoyed you get when you are asked the same question three times. Of course, that’s not what’s really going on here.

As Yahoo! Sports’ Maggie Hendricks points out, there are two completely different venues presented here. In one case, she is in a studio with a professional who knows how to maneuver an interview, and the line of questioning has most likely been offered or vetted in advance.

It’s far removed from just shouting at a woman you have never met about how much sex she has.

It’s really not that difficult, fans. Treat athletes with respect and they will do the same in return. In fact, Rousey has a brilliant method of testing any question in case you are still confused: “If your mother was standing behind you and heard you ask that question, what would she say to you?”

We all know why the fan was asking the question: He caught wind of how Rousey has answered in the past and wanted to garner a similar response.

Well, he certainly received one. As it turns out, Rousey destroys people outside of the cage also.

And it’s beautiful.

Ronda Rousey Fan Tattoo Will Haunt Your Dreams and Feed on Your Soul

If you wondered whether Ronda Rousey was a bona fide A-list sports star, wonder no longer, because she now lives on in the form of a fan’s ill-advised tattoo.

Guyism spotted a positively creepy homage to the UFC women’s bantamweight champion, originally posted on MMA News’ Facebook page.

If you don’t care whether you have a good night’s sleep or not, take a gander at the masterpiece below.

Guyism claims that this is some random fan’s arm, but it looks to be a very pale leg. Not that any of that matters, because the important thing to take away from this is that someone actually thought it was a good idea.

Rousey, a beautiful woman and a remarkable fighter, is depicted as a quasi Garbage Pail Kid who has a Shannen Doherty thing going on with her eyes. It has to be pretty creepy to know someone adores you so much that he would go to such extremes to decorate (or mutilate) his body like this.

If Rousey does catch wind of this tat, she should know it just means she has hit the big time. Every great athlete can look forward to a fan—or a few—getting permanent ink in his or her honor.

DailyPix reminds us that things could be worse, because you could have a Shaquille O’Neal Kazaam tattoo on your body.

Or you could have expounded on your love for all things Manning with this tattoo of the brothers enjoying a round of noogies, via Planet Radio.

One of my personal favorites is the Bubba Watson tattoo that has the golfer looking like a Mad Magazine caricature, via Golf WRX.

Some fans are content to buy a replica jersey or a poster featuring their favorite athlete. For the far more motivated, that won’t do.

No, sometimes you just have to sit back and get a painfully awkward tattoo for the world to enjoy. A round of applause and tip of the hat to all you sports fans who can’t help but lose your collective minds, because we certainly enjoy your ink.

Ronda Rousey on Breasts in MMA: Gina Carano ‘Had a Fantastic Rack’

Mixed martial arts: “Where cleavage is a hinderance.”

Elite female UFC fighters are serious, serious athletes. As such, they think about any and all possible advantages they can gain over their adversaries. According to Ronda Rousey, one of those advantages is having smaller breasts.

The topic of breasts and their impact on MMA was discussed in ESPN The Magazine‘s latest “Body Issue,” which, among others, featured a photo spread of UFC fighter Miesha Tate. The issue featured an article by Amanda Hess titled, “You Can Only Hope to Contain Them,” which focused on female fighters dealing with boob issues while fighting in the Octagon.

The piece features an interview with UFC women’s bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey. As usual, Rousey was brutally honest, and her candidness did not fail to provide for highly quotable material.

Rousey told Hess that she’s had difficulties keeping her breasts under wraps while grappling with opponents in the past. One particular fight against Liz Carmouche was especially troublesome, and she worried constantly about having a wardrobe malfunction.

She also gave her observations on women who reach the pinnacle of athletics, saying that large breasts aren’t often a characteristic of elite female athletes.

“Gina Carano was an amazing fighter, and she had a fantastic rack,” Rousey told Hess. “You don’t see big titties in the Olympics, and I think that’s for a reason.”

Hess’ article explains the difficulties fighters with larger breasts have versus those with less on their chest. For example, Hess cites that a fighter with a typical A-cup is carrying .43 pounds, while fighters with D-cups are carrying around four or more pounds of weight.

Between the weight, strain and possible wardrobe malfunction issues, it’s hard to say Rousey isn’t right.

With that being said, Gina Carano went 12-1-1 in her Muay Thai fighting career and 7-1 in MMA. So you can have an innate advantage at a sport, but your physical traits don’t necessarily dictate your level of success.

Ronda Rousey Absolutely Destroys Geek Squad in Hilarious New Commercial

I’m not sure if this is a commercial for an insurance company or defense against mercenary hit squads.

It doesn’t matter, because I am sold on Ronda Rousey as the perfect protector, and preoccupied geek squads around the world have been put on notice.

In fact, I think this video is fairly appropriate at the moment.

The commercial starts with a random lady with an arbitrary computer issue, who comes into a store to pick up her laptop.

It’s not really the setting in which you might find a brutal beating—it’s more like the start of a very lame comedy sketch.

Thankfully, this poor lady—who just stopped off to pick up her computer—is protected by Rousey, who isn’t much of a negotiator. She does most of her talking with her fists and with the heels of her feet.

These geeks never stood a chance, even when reinforcements come from the back to help deal with this masterful MMA champion destroying every last tech expert thrown her way.

I have to think at least one of those technicians could have helped the computer lady with her PC woes, but then we wouldn’t get a firsthand look at what happens to people who ignore Rousey‘s pals.

Of course, the funniest part comes when the head geek asks Siri how to solve a looming armbar, but even Siri can’t help against the devastating move—or an “armed bear,” for that matter.

So the next time you are being ignored by tech experts, just holler for Rousey. She can be pretty convincing.
