Although the latest talk seems to indicate a Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz II main event for UFC’s landmark UFC 200 event coming up in July, Diaz doesn’t seem to think “The Notorious” one is worthy of an immediate rematch.
Diaz recently spoke with RollingStone.com and explained why it’s “funny” that the UFC is wanting to give McGregor an immediate rematch against Diaz, considering the fact that Jose Aldo didn’t get an immediate rematch when McGregor knocked him out to become the UFC Featherweight Champion.
“I lost plenty of decisions and I’ve never got a rematch to this day, so that’s crazy,” said Diaz of a rematch against McGregor. “Conor got worked over and now they’re saying rematch, which makes sense, I understand that. I just think it’s funny because it’s like, Jose Aldo didn’t get a rematch.”
