TUF 16 semi-finalsts, Team Carwin fighter Neil Magny (7-1) and Team Nelson’s Jon Manley (7-1) have reportedly agreed to meet according to MMAjunkie.com.
UFC 157: Rousey vs. Carmouche is expected to take place on February 23, 2013 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. The event is headlined by the first women’s bout inside the Octagon as women’s bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey defends her new title against Liz Carmouche.
Magny squared off against Team Carwin teammate Mike Ricci in the semifinals and would end up losing by knockout. Magny earned wins over Bristol Marunde and Cameron Diffley to earn his way into the TUF semifinal. Magny earned his last win in February 2012 at a local show in Indiana, earning a unanimous decision.
Manley lost a decision to fellow Team Nelson fighter Colton Smith in the semifinals. He made his way into the semifinals by defeating Joey Rivera and James Chaney. His last fight took place in October 2011, earning a second straight win by decision at a W-1 event.
