Earlier this week, BG chewed the fat with the TYT Sports gang about Jon Jones vs. Daniel Cormier. (We also shot a segment wondering what might be next for Jon Jones, but it looks like we already have an answer to that.)
Here’s a bonus clip from our conversation, about the UFC’s reported plan to award Conor McGregor a title shot against Jose Aldo if he can get past Dennis Siver later this month at UFC Fight Night 59. Is this the right move by the UFC? And will McGregor blow through Siver as quickly as he claims? The answers await you in the video above. Thanks for watching, and follow TYT Sports on twitter if you like sports-things.

We have no idea why they keep inviting us do this, but once again, the good folks at TYT Sports had CagePotato’s founding editor Ben Goldstein on their show today to discuss Jon Jones‘s dominant decision win against Daniel Cormier at UFC 182, as well as Jones’s now-complete transformation into a super-heel. There aren’t many controversial things you can say about the greatest fighter in the world winning a fight, but we always have a good time hanging with the TYT crew. Check out our conversation above, and stay tuned for videos about what’s next for Jones and Cormier, and the prospect of Conor McGregor fighting Jose Aldo in an Irish soccer stadium. (Assuming he beats Dennis Siver.) (Which he will.)

In light of all the crazy crap that went down at UFC 181 this weekend, our friends at TYT Sports invited CagePotato founding editor Ben Goldstein back on their show to break down all the important storylines. (Johny Hendricks was robbed! CM Punk OMFG! Anthony Pettis P4P greatest?? Etc.) Strong takes all over the place.
First up, here’s Ben talking with TYT Sports hosts Francis Maxwell and Lindsay McCormick about the Johny Hendricks vs. Robbie Lawler rematch, which was awesome despite Glenn Trowbridge ruining it with his 49-46 scorecard. What were the judges looking at, exactly? And is an immediate rubber match in order, or should the UFC give that Rory MacDonald kid a shot?

Thanks again to TYT Sports — and the sharply-dressed Francis Maxwell — for having me on this morning to break down UFC 178. Here are the other two segments we shot, about Conor McGregor‘s hype-justifying TKO of Dustin Poirier, and Donald Cerrone‘s victorious battle against Eddie Alvarez. Short version: McGregor is the good kind of crazy, and Cerrone has gone from entertaining gunslinger to true elite in the lightweight division. Could both these men have title fights in their immediate futures?

The classy dudes at TYT Sports were kind enough to have me on their show this morning to discuss the top three fights at UFC 178. First up, this breakdown of the main event, Demetrious Johnson vs. Chris Cariaso.
I haven’t watched the video yet because I don’t like looking at my own face or hearing the sound of my own voice, but I definitely remember what we talked about. Basically, I ran down the lopsided two-round beating that Johnson gave Cariaso, why Mighty Mouse’s performance was impressive and not impressive at the same time, and why staying in the flyweight division might not be in Johnson’s best interest, career-wise.
Give it a look, and please subscribe to TYT Sports on YouTube for more UFC 178 analysis videos from yours truly, which will be posted by this evening.
