Raphael Assuncao starched Matthew Lopez tonight (Nov. 11).

The second bout on the main card of UFC Fight Night 120 featured a bantamweight tilt. Assuncao took on Lopez inside the Ted Convention Center in Norfolk, Virginia. The bout aired live on FOX Sports 1.

Assuncao went for a front kick early. He settled for a leg kick moments later. Lopez caught a kick but didn’t capitalize. A hook landed for Lopez. He followed that up with a leg kick. The two swung wild and Lopez landed a hook.

Assuncao caught a kick and landed a punch to the body as Lopez turned. He went for a high kick, but it was blocked. Lopez scored a huge takedown.The round ended with both men standing.

Assuncao got round two going with a more aggressive attack. He landed a hook as his opponent was off balanced. He then pushed him against the fence. Lopez got out of the clinch. Lopez got tagged and stumbled back to the fence briefly. The round ended with Lopez blocked a head kick.

A nasty bruise appeared on the inside part of Lopez’s leg due to the bevy of kicks. Assuncao continued to turn up the heat. Lopez shot in, but nothing doing. A huge right hand dropped Lopez. Assuncao was going to drop a hammerfist, but he saw his opponent was out and held back.

Final Result: Raphael Assuncao def. Matthew Lopez via KO (punch) – R3, 1:50

Clay Guida made short work of Joe Lauzon.

The opening bout on the main card of UFC Fight Night 120 featured a bout between two fan favorites. Lauzon and Guida traded leather inside the Ted Convention Center in Norfolk, Virginia. The event aired live on FOX Sports 1.

Guida got things started with a leg kick followed by a right hand. He stunned Lauzon with a punch and then dropped him. Guida rained down heavy shots. He pounded away with hammerfists followed by elbows. Finally, Guida finished the fight and the two embraced.

Final Result: Clay Guida def. Joe Lauzon via TKO (strikes) – R1, 1:07

It’s once again fight day here at LowKickMMA, and the talent on display tonight (Saturday, November 11th, 2017) will come from in the form of UFC Fight Night 120. Headlining the card are Dustin Poirier and Anthony Pettis, but there’s a whole bunch of great fights also taking place on the preliminary section of the card.

John Dodson vs. Marlon Moraes in a bantamweight bout closes the preliminary card on FOX Sports 1.

Tatiana Suarez vs. Viviane Pereira is next in a women’s strawweight bout

Sage Northcutt vs. Michel Quinones is next in a lightweight bout

Angela Hill vs. Nina Ansaroff in a women’s strawweight bout opens the FOX Sports 1 preliminary bouts.
