UFC Fight Night 210 is an event that is highly anticipated thanks to the fight card and the fervor excitement just keeps growing with every passing day as we edge closer to the fight night which is now just around the corner.

One fight that has kind of been shadowed by the other more nig name match ups is Patrick Cummins vs. Jan Blachowicz. However, if you were to actually take a closer look at the fighters and the potential this fight has – you will realize it can actually turn out to be one of the most interesting and highly competitive fights of the night.

Cummins (8-4) did not really get the UFC career start that he was hoping to when he lost out to Daniel Cormier, but he made up for it quickly and really sent out a strong message when he bounced back with three straight back to back wins. However, his recent form has gone south again and he has suffered three knock out losses in his last four fights.

On the other end of the octagon, we have Blachowicz (19-6) who also started his UFC career of with a bang after knocking out Ilir Latifi with a well landed body kick. Just like Cummins, Blachowicz’ recent form has not been on point as he has suffered three losses of his last four, but by decision.

So who will be able to turn things around and get back to winning ways? Even though Cummins is at a 2 inch disadvantage, we is better on the ground and we think he will be able to muscle his way to a victory via unanimous decision.

UFC Fight Night 210 – 145lbs: Shane Burgos Vs. Charles Rosa

No one saw this match up coming, but after Zubaira Tukhugov failed a drug test, Charles Rosa was left opponent – less, but not for long. Shane “Hurricane” Burgos stepped up to the challenge on short notice and will now be taking on the Brazilian in UFC fight night 210.

Shane Burgos (8-0) and Charles Rosa (11-2) are actually going to make for a very interesting fight. Burgos, who is 5 feet 11 inches is two inches  taller than Rosa, but the height is not really going to be a big advantage considering how agile Rosa can be.

Rosa had a very challenging debut in the UFC and was put up against Dennis Silver in Stockholm, however, he managed not only come out alive, but actually won the fight. Since then he went on to win two more and lost one to Yair Rodriguez.

Both fighters are excellent finishers who know how to put a fight to bed. It is really going to be an exciting fight – one for the crowds. They are relentless and are not going to while away time on the back foot trying to defend for too long.

Prediction – Burgos is our winner here as he has the edge technically and while on both feet. But make no mistake! Rosa can very well surprise us all again like he did in his debut.

UFC Fight Night 10 – Usman vs. Strickland

UFC Fight Night 210: 170lbs: Kamaru Usman Vs. Sean Strickland

TUF 21 saw Kamaru Usman (9-1) start and finish the show for the Blackzilans when he took out Michael Graves to start things off and then had Hayder Hassan tap out with an unforgiving choke in the finale.

We have seen Usman really establish himself as clear superior against the likes of Leon Edwards and Warlley Alves in his most recent fights. Of his professional victories, as many as five of them can be attributed to knock outs.

On the other hand, Sean Strickland rose to the ranks when he surprisingly and against all odds turned heads thanks to his defeat of the revered Bubba McDaniel. Furthermore, this victory came in Stricklands debut fight which really got him a lot of attention and the spotlight. He won with a submission. However, things quite have not carried on with the same sort of momentum, he lost his fight to Luke Barnatt, albeit the decision proved very controversial, and then he was defeated again by Santiago Ponzinibbio.

Since these two defeats, Strickland has come back strong with three back to back wins. His most recent fight and victory was against Tom Breese during UFC Fight Night 199.

Prediction – both fighters are well rounded and are mostly going to be cancelling each other out. The fight is going to be technical and a lot of it may be fought on the floor. Usman is brimming with confidence and we think he will come out the winner via a unanimous decision.

UFC Fight Night 210 has a very exciting lineup of fights, but one of the most  anticipated fights is surely going to be Daniel Cormier taking on Anthony Johnson for the title of UFC light heavyweight champion. Not only will the outcome of the fight determine who is the next light heavyweight champion, but it will also affect the future and the path that the whole weight division itself will undertake going forward.

Cormier (18-MMA and 7-1 UFC) had already faced and fought against Johnson (22 – 5 MMA and 13 -5 UFC) once previously back in May of 2015 at UFC fight night 187. This fight saw Cormier emerge victorious and take the championship and the belt which before him was vacant. The fight had gone into the third round when Cormier won by submission.

It has been almost two years since that fight went down and the pair are going to be back at it. Will the fight yield a different result this time around? The bookmakers don’t seem to agree, but we have all seen the contender develop and grow as fighter in the two years since he last fought Cormier.

One thing is for sure – Cormier is going to have a much more paramount challenge to overcome this time around if he wants to cling on to that championship belt. Johnson is not the best on the ground, but has a deadly knockout punch  always up his sleeve.
