The final middleweight scrap on the UFC Fight Night 92 card featured former 185-pound title challenger Thales Leites (26-6) and Chris Camozzi (24-11).

Leites snapped his two-fight skid in dominating fashion.

Leites dropped down for a takedown early, but settled for a clinch against the fence. He stuck to Camozzi like glue and got a standing back mount. Leites kept working for a submission while hammering away at his opponent. Camozzi tried to shake Leites off of him, but wound up on his back before the round came to a close.

Not long into the second stanza, Camozzi found himself on his back. The Brazilian moved to side control. Leites used a D’Arce choke to move to Camozzi’s back. Camozzi spent the rest of the round trying to avoid a rear-naked choke.

Camozzi wasted little time throwing leather at the start of the final round. The early boost was thwarted after Leites completed a takedown. Leites continued threatening with a rear-naked choke. This time, he locked it in and finished the fight by submission.

“Gente Boa” earned his third straight win.

An early body kick from Cummings was blocked. A left hand found the mark for Cummings. A combination landed for Ponzinibbio. Cummings ate a head kick from “Gente Boa.” Time was called as Ponzinibbio was accidentally kicked low. Herb Dean warned Cummings to keep the kicks up and the action resumed. Cummings scored a double leg takedown, but Ponzinibbio got up quickly and time later expired.

The second round was underway and some swelling formed over the left eye of Cummings. A left hand countered landed for Ponzinibbio. A cut formed under the left eye of “Gente Boa.” Cummings went for a takedown, but couldn’t get it. Ponzinibbio landed a body kick. Cummings had his high kick blocked. He ate a punch for his takedown attempt. Blood trickled down the nose of “Gente Boa.” Cummings got hit with a counter right hand. A straight left hand found the target for Cummings and the round ended shortly after.

Ponzinibbio showed fast movement, avoiding a takedown and landed counter punches early in the final stanza. “Gente Boa” backed up his opponent after a straight right connected. A one-two combination landed for Ponzinibbio. A straight right hand popped Cummings. The final horn sounded and all three judges score the fight for “Gente Boa.”

Final Result: Santiago Ponzinibbio def. Zak Cummings via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27)

Moroz landed a left hand after a series of whiffed jabs. Taylor went for an overhand right as the round ended.

Moroz went high with a kick early in the second stanza, but it was blocked. A big right hand landed for Taylor, but Moroz seemed unfazed. “Iron Woman” connected with a jab. “Dynamite” missed an overhand right. Moroz kept pushing the pace, but her range continued to be off.

Early in the final frame, Moroz had her front kick blocked. A high kick got Taylor off balance momentarily. Taylor blocked a high kick from “Iron Woman.” Moroz popped “Dynamite” with a right hand as she charged in. Moroz stood busy and was the more aggressive fighter by the time the final horn sounded. Taylor’s only moment in the round was a takedown at the last second.

Two of the three judges scored the fight for “Iron Woman.”

Viktor Pesta (10-2) vs. Marcin Tybura (13-2) is next in a heavyweight bout.

David Teymur (4-1) vs. Jason Novelli (11-1-1) is next in a lightweight bout.

Teruto Ishihara (9-2-2) vs. Horacio Gutierrez (2-3) in a featherweight bout opened the UFC Fight Night 92 Fox Sports 1 preliminary bouts. This one did not last long at all. Ishihara dove at him and went for a takedown but couldn’t get it. Gutierrez shoved him off, and they went back to striking. Ishihara dropped him with some combos and finished the fight on the ground.

Cub Swanson (23-7) vs. Tatsuya Kawajiri (35-10-2) in a featherweight bout finished off the UFC Fight Night 92 Fight Pass preliminary card. This was a very entertaining fight. In round 1, Kawajiri shot in for a takedown about a minute into the round but Swanston stuffed it and landed some hammer fist. Kawajiri stunned him with a right hand then kneed him in the face. Kawajiri went for a takedown in the middle of the round and got it. Kawajiri was in half guard. Kawajiri got full mount with two minutes left. Kawajiri worked him over with elbows. In round 2, Kawajiri came out quick and went for a double leg takedown but Swanson stuffed it. Kawajiri scored a takedown with three minutes left but Swanson scrambled and got his back. Swanson locked in a rear-naked choke but let it go. Swanson stayed on his back until Kawajiri scrambled back to his feet moments later. Swanson tagged him with a sweeping right hand. Swanson pushed him down and landed a knee strike to Kawajiri’s head while he was down. The action was stopped until Kawajiri recovered. Kawajiri was bleeding from his nose. Both guys threw some big bombs at the end of the round. Kawajiri went for a single leg takedown but Swanson stayed on his feet. In round 3, Kawajiri took him down right away and pressed Swanson up against the fence. Swanson stood up and landed some big elbows to the head. Kawajiri clinched with him up against the fence. Swanson took him down and got his back. Swanson worked him over with strikes. The judges gave the win to Swanson.

Opening the UFC Fight Night 92 Fight Pass prelims was Chase Sherman (9-2) vs. Justin Ledet (7-0, 1NC) in a heavyweight bout. A solid opening bout. In round 1, Sherman came out aggressive and landed some quick combos. Ledet landed a big straight right and was tagging Sherman with it. Ledet started to let his hands go about a minute into this round. They started throwing some big shots. Sherman had a bloody nose and bruised face. In round 2, Sherman unloaded a big combo to start the round. Ledet had a reach advantage and was using it good. Sherman’s face was a bloody mess during this round. Ledet was landing jabs at will. Ledet stunned him with 30-seconds left in the round, but Sherman stayed in there. In round 3, Sherman continued to push forward despite being tired. Ledet was doing some good movement and getting in and out with his shots. They had a wild exchange to end the round. Ledet earned the unanimous decision victory.
