Sean O’Malley wants to fight one of the big winners from UFC Vegas 43.

Adrian Yanez picked up the biggest win of his career last night after three hard rounds with ‘Dangerous’ Davey Grant. It was a close fight that earned both men an extra $50,000 in bonus money.

While watching Yanez pick up a split decision win, ‘Suga’ sent out a cryptic tweet that suggested he wants to face the rising bantamweight prospect next year. O’Malley later confirmed that is Yanez he wants to fight in the first quarter of 2022.

Adrian Yanez Calls Out Sean O’Malley For Cherry Picking His Opponents

“Yeah, I would definitely fight Sean O’Malley,” Yanez said at the UFC Vegas 43 post-fight press conference. “Right now he says he wants to get a ranked opponent and all that stuff but he’s dodging all these other ranked opponents. Let’s dive into that one right quick.

“So, Sean O’Malley says, ‘OK, let me go out there and let me fight a top-ranked opponent.’ But then he gets Thomas Almeida, who was on the shelf for a couple years. Then he gets on a (losing) streak and he knocks him out. But it takes him three rounds to do it against the guy that is coming off the coach (Kris Moutinho). Talk about that. And then also, Eddie Wineland, who was also kind of just like off the couch for a long time, already at the tail-end of his career. (He) knocks him out. OK, cool. That kind of doesn’t really get no brownie points from me.”

Yanez believes his win over Grant is better than any of O’Malley’s.

“If you go out there and starch someone like Davey Grant,” Yanez said. “… Davey Grant can take a shot. He can take a hard shot. Man, if you go against someone who is a fighter like Chito. If you go against someone like Chito, and then he goes out there and just kind of plays with him and toys with him and knocks him out on the ground. I don’t know. There’s ups and downs with that, man. Then also, too, whenever he fought Kris Moutinho, he had the chance to fight a guy, who I think was ranked at the time, Ricky Simon. He had the chance to fight him but then doesn’t fight him. I don’t know. Something, I don’t know. But also, I’d be down to fight him. I don’t care. They’d have to pay me more. He’s always about the money. I am about the money, too, because I’ve got a family to feed.” (Transcribed by MMA Junkie)

O’Malley has work to do before he can even think about a fight with Yanez. ‘Suga’ will square off against #15 ranked bantamweight Raulian Paiva at UFC 269 on December 11.

Jon Jones

Jon Jones could finally be back in action later this year, unfortunately, we will not get to see him competing inside the UFC Octagon.

The former light-heavyweight king took to social media on Saturday to announce that he is set to grapple Jake Hager of professional wrestling and Bellator MMA fame.

“Breaking News!! I’m excited to announce I’ll be competing for the number one grappling organization in the world, Fury Grappling!” Jones wrote in a since deleted tweet. “December 9th I’ll be in New Jersey competing against WWE superstar and undefeated Bellator heavyweight Jack swagger.”

Hager appeared to be caught off guard by Jones’ announcement and quickly poured cold water on the potential grappling match. Although, he did add that it is something he would be open to doing for the right deal.

“First of all it’s @AEWonTNT and undefeated @BellatorMMA heavyweight Jake Hager, secondly no terms have been discussed or contract signed. We can talk if terms are right.”

Jones replied by taking a swipe at Hager’s follower count before once again deleting his tweet.

“Come on people let’s get Jake to 1 million followers, sorry I didn’t know who you were. Lol.”

According to MMA Junkie’s sources, a December 9 grappling match between Jones and Hager is a real possibility but it must be noted that ‘Bones’ has defiantly made a premature announcement.

Jon Jones Is Eager To Compete After His Long Lay Off

The light-heavyweight GOAT hasn’t fought since picking up a somewhat controversial decision win over Dominick Reyes at UFC 247 in February 2020.

Jones is currently bulking up to heavyweight and will not compete in MMA until 2022. It appears he will make his divisional debut in a title fight against the winner of Francis Ngannou vs. Ciryl Gane which is expected to take place at UFC 270 on January 22.

The UFC Vegas 43 bonuses have been released.

The event took place in Las Vegas, Nevada at the UFC Apex facility. Headlining the card was a clash between Ketlen Vieira and Miesha Tate. This fight saw the first round of Tate clinching with her up against the fence. Vieira went for a takedown, but was stuffed. Vieira was the quicker fighter. Tate was closing in when she threw shots and usually ate punches as a result.

The second round featured Tate throwing her hands more with a quicker pace and even landed a front kick to the face. They exchanged more strikes in the third round. Tate went for a takedown, but it was stuffed. Tate landed a big time right hand to open the fourth round. Tate did get a takedown and took her back, but Vieira stood up. The judges gave the win to Kelten by decision.

The co-main event saw more action between Michael Chiesa and Sean Brady. The first round was weird as in the first minute, Chiesa got kicked in the nuts to start off the fight while Brady got poked in the eye. Brady eventually got to take him down twice, but Chiesa managed to get back to his feet pretty quickly without taking damage. Brady had a cut under left eye and a bloody nose. In the second round, Brady got a takedown and took his back where he kept him there for the rest of the round. Brady got the decision win.

Taila Santos got some extra cash for submission win over Joanne Calderwood. Peep the full list of performance bonus winners below.

Ketlen Vieira

#7 ranked UFC bantamweight contender, Ketlen Vieira has lodged the biggest victory of her UFC run to date — taking home a unanimous decision (48-47, 48-47, 49-46) triumph against former division queen, Miesha Tate to round out UFC Vegas 43.

Tate outlands Vieira in regards to significant strikes in the opening round, however, the Brazilian appears to be grabbing the former champion’s attention with her powerful hands.

Another close second round affair that likely goes to Vieira. Tate finding her range better in that frame with her hands, but it’s more of the same in regards to the power output from the former.

Tate yet again finds herself ahead on the significant strikes side of this equation, however, akin to the previous two rounds, Vieira is landing the heavier shots from the back foot on occasion to boot.

We see a fifth and final round between these two bantamweight contenders, who turn in another completely close and competitive fourth round.

More pressure from the former champion, Tate in the fifth round but Vieira opens up the face of the Washington native with her powerful punching in the final round, and takes the result back home with a unanimous decision victory — the most high-profile win of her UFC tenure to date.

Below, catch the highlights from Ketlen Vieira’s unanimous decision win over Miesha Tate
