Forever sharing a high-profile rivalry – without ever actually sharing the Octagon with each other, the spat between former champions, Conor McGregor and Kamaru Usman have been rekindled again by the Dubliner, who labelled him a “bald little Malteaser head”.

McGregor, a former undisputed lightweight champion and featherweight gold holder under the banner of the UFC, has been sidelined since he fractured his left tibia and fibula in a first round doctor’s stoppage TKO loss to Dustin Poirier almost three years.

However, slated to return at the end of next month, McGregor takes on former lightweight title challenger, Michael Chandler – a former training partner of Usman in the main event of UFC 303 during International Fight Week at the welterweight limit.

As for Auchi native, Usman, the former pound-for-pound number one has been out of action himself since October of last year, suffering his third consecutive loss in the form of a controversial majority decision loss to the undefeated, Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 294.

And linked with a potential move to the welterweight limit to fight Usman in a bid to become the promotion’s first-ever three-division champion, McGregor failed to ever land the pairing, with the Nigerian going on to drop his title to Leon Edwards.

However, continuing to fire shots at the ONX Labs trainee tonight, McGregor hit out at Usman’s claiming he was “nothing” to him, as well as hitting out at his appearance.

Dana White confirms Conor McGregor targeted to headline UFC 303 that's what we wanna do

“(Kamaru) Usman is talking crazy right now,” Conor McGregor said during a DuelBits live stream. “Where’s Usman right now? The little bald Malteaser head. What happened in his last fight again? I can’t even remember where you’re at in your game, bro, yeah? You’re nothing to me.”

Without a victory since a title rematch win over Colby Covington back in 2021, Usman has weighed up both a welterweight return and even a continued stay at the middleweight limit since his loss to Chimaev late last year.

Who would win in a potential fight: Conor McGregor or Kamaru Usman?

UFC superstar Sean O'Malley gets swatted while quietly streaming at home: 'I got shotguns pointed at me'

Sean O’Malley was held at gunpoint as SWAT team members raided his house.

During the most recent episode of his TimboSugarShow podcast with longtime coach Tim Welch, the reigning UFC bantamweight champion revealed that he was recently swatted — a term used for when someone calls the police claiming an individual is either violent, armed or in the process of committing a crime.

Sean O'Malley

The incident occurred while O’Malley was sitting quietly at home streaming.

“Went home, I’m like, ‘You know what? I’m gonna stream today,’” O’Malley said. “Streaming, about an hour and a half in I see a f*ckin cop fly down my road. I feel like instantly I kinda knew because I’ve heard about Adin [Ross] and the big streamers getting swatted. People find out where they’re at and they call the cops, say something happened that obviously didn’t happen and then they’re f*cking getting swatted.”

“So, I peek out my head out the window to see if maybe it’s something else. But then they’re on the intercom and I see a bunch of cops and they’re like, ‘Walk out with your hands up.’ So I f*ckin’ walk out, hands up. I was like, ‘I’m just gonna listen. I could get shot.’” I was like, ‘Okay if I just listen to them, I’ll be alright.’ But you never know, someone sneezes, pulls the trigger. I got f*ckin shotguns pointed at me. ARs from like four different cops pointed at me. I was like I’m just gonna listen and walk back.”

Sean O’Malley uses his time in the back of a police car to meditate

Because he exited his home unarmed and was cooperative, the responding offers did not force him to get on the ground. Instead, they cuffed him and tossed him in the back of a police vehicle where he used the time to meditate and marvel at the crazy situation he had suddenly found himself in.

“No. They didn’t have me get on the ground. I just turned around, walked backward with my hands up, put me in handcuffs. Put me in the cop car. I just used it as a meditation because moments like those bring you into the present moment so much. I was sitting in the back of that cop car in handcuffs and I was like, ‘Dude, that’s crazy. I had freedom five minutes ago. Now I have none. Zero.’

“They said I k*lled my parents or something like that, and they thought there was an active shooter inside. …Someone called the cops and said there’s an active shooter, and two dead people in the house or something.”

Fortunately, it didn’t take long for a second set of officers to arrive on the scene and immediately recognized who Sean O’Malley was, bringing an end to the incident roughly an hour removed from when everything initially went down.

UFC flyweight standout Mariya Agapova is on the verge of being homeless weeks away from her next fight

Less than a month away from her return to the Octagon, UFC flyweight standout Mariya Agapova revealed that she is on the verge of being homeless.

Taking to social media, ‘Demonslayer’ shared her unfortunate situation, revealing that she was actively looking for shelters and charitable organizations to help keep her off the street. Agapova also touched on some disturbing details surrounding her personal life, claiming that those close to her have attempted to exploit and traffic her.

“In a week, I’ll probably be homeless,” Agapova wrote in a post on her Instagram Stories. “Are you surprised? Not me. This is a classic of my life in America, becoming homeless right before a UFC fight. This is a f*cking classic! Next week I will be looking for a homeless shelter because I don’t trust people anymore. Since I don’t have money for rent, I live wherever I have to. People exploit me, and during this exploitation, they neglect my personal boundaries and my life. Including trying to sell me into sex slavery behind my back.

“Who knows shelters, charitable organizations that are aimed at helping, not exploiting, please write to me.”

UFC flyweight Mariya Agapova

It’s a sad situation for the 14-fight veteran who is scheduled to make her sixth career walk to the Octagon at UFC Denver on July 13. Agapova is expected to square off against Luana Santos at the event.

Making her promotional debut in 2020, ‘Demonslayer’ won two of her first three fights, besting Hannah Cifers and Sabina Mazo with a couple of first-round rear-naked chokes. However, Agapova has struggled to find the win column as of late, dropping back-to-back fights against Maryna Moroz and Gillian Robertson.

Mariya Agapova says helping ‘losers’ turned her into one

Ahead of her fight with Robertson, Mariya Agapova said in an interview with Sportskeeda MMA that she was working as a bouncer at a nightclub to make ends meet. She also walked into her fight against ‘The Savage’ sporting a nasty knee injury sustained while training.

Despite knowing she’d need surgery, Agapova went ahead with the fight as she desperately needed the payday.

“It’s still bad and I still need surgery,” she said ahead of the Robertson fight. “So after my fight, I will do the surgery, but my life situation is very bad right now, that’s why I can’t go to surgery before this fight. I work [as a] bouncer right now at the club and no one gives a sh*t about me honestly.

“After I get hurt and my sponsor didn’t want to sign with me, and I just get bouncer work and [I’m] working with [an] injury.”

During that same interview, Agapova refused to place all the blame on the UFC for her woes, adding that she had chosen to help others out financially — a decision she ended up regretting.

“I get to this point because I helped a couple of losers, I was thinking that I helped making them successful, but no, it doesn’t work like this,” Agapova added. “I become a f*cking loser because I try to help f*cking losers.

UFC fans slam Henry Cejudo for calling out 1-4 fighter for a clash at The APEX: 'I just feel sorry for you'

Henry Cejudo is without a doubt one of the greatest combat sports athletes of all time. Aside from holding two UFC world championships simultaneously, he is an Olympic gold medalist, accomplishing a feat only a tiny percentage of human beings will ever achieve.

So why is he practically begging to fight someone barely clinging onto a top-ten spot inside The APEX?

After winning both the bantamweight and flyweight titles and defeating the likes of TJ Dillashaw, Demetrious Johnson, and Dominick Cruz — three of the biggest names in their respective divisions — ‘Triple C’ packed his bags and went home. It was a confusing decision at the prime of his career, but the retirement didn’t last long.

Three years after laying down his gloves, Cejudo returned to challenge then-bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling at UFC 288. Despite a valiant effort, he came up short on two of the three judges’ scorecards. Still, Cejudo’s performance against one of the best 135’ers of all time was enough to get excited about his second run in the sport.

Henry Cejudo

Then he fought Merab Dvalishvili.

The Machine’ absolutely dominated Cejudo for three rounds at UFC 298, establishing himself as the division’s top contender and knocking ‘Triple C’ even further down the ladder.

Desperate for his first win in more than four years, Cejudo is now turning his attention toward Rob Font, practically begging the Tampa native to sign on the dotted line so they can fight in front of 50 people at The APEX in Las Vegas.

“Hey Rob Font, my wife told me I need to spend more time with my kids so let’s meet up July 20th at the Apex,” Cejudo wrote on X. “Don’t even worry about getting me a Father’s Day Gift, the beating I’m gonna give you will be good enough. Sign the contract hoe.”

Henry Cejudo

That’s a far cry from a fight with Brandon Moreno inside The Sphere.

UFC Fans lament the downfall of Henry Cejudo

Needless to say, fight fans were taken aback by the callout considering that Rob Font is 1-4 in his last five with his only win in the previous three years coming against Adrian Yanez.

Themba Gorimbo calls for UFC Africa headlining fight after recent win: ‘I come from the gutters’

Themba Gorimbo calls for UFC Africa headlining fight after recent win I came from the gutters

After picking up a win at UFC Vegas 92, Themba Gorimbo opened up about his dream for the future and what it will take to make that dream happen.

Coming from the “gutters” of Africa by his own admission, Gorimbo’s story is an inspirational one. He knows that, and that’s why he believes that he can make his dream of headlining a UFC Africa card come true one day.

At UFC Vegas 92, Gorimbo wasn’t just fighting for himself, though. His coach tragically lost his mother in the lead-up to fight night, and according to Gorimbo, the win was for her just as much as it was for himself.

“I don’t think he took me down,” Gorimbo told reporters at the post-fight press conference. “I think every time he tried to take me down, I remembered my coach and the sacrifice that he made. I said, ‘Nope.’ I remembered the sacrifice that he made. That’s why he didn’t take me down. Every time, he didn’t take me down. My takedown defense was solid. I took him down. I could’ve done more if I wanted to. But for this fight, I was working more on defensive wrestling than attacking wrestling. Because I wanted to knock him out. What I’m doing is being grateful for the win. That’s the most important thing.”

Themba Gorimbo hoped for a spectacular finish but ultimately came up short. Still, Gorimbo is just happy he can leave for home as the victor.

Themba Gorimbo speaks on his dream to headline UFC Africa card

“I’ve heard the rumors they’re going with a Fight Night first when they do go,” Themba Gorimbo said. “At a Fight Night, there’s no titles needed. So I have to make my way up and main event an Apex show. From there, I’ll main event the first African show because I’m a big inspiration to the African fighters because of where I come from. I earned my spot to be here. I didn’t have anything. I worked my ass off to be here. I sacrificed. I nagged my manager daily to be here in the UFC. If an African child can maybe take a page out of my story, to try to make it here, I’m the perfect guy to ask. If you listen to me and you try to do what I do, you might be up there or just land in the UFC.”

Gorimbo UFC Vegas 92

“I feel like I need to do that to inspire a lot of other African kids. I respect the guys who came before me, Izzy (Adesanya), Kamaru (Usman), the history he made, (Francis) Ngannou, the history he made, Dricus (Du Plessis) with the championship that he has. I respect that. But when it comes to the guy who can actually relate a lot more than anything, I’m not disrespecting the guys, but I come from the gutters of Africa, the gutters of Africa. I can maybe turn a page and reach the new market the UFC needs to reach.”

What’s more, Themba Gorimbo wouldn’t even describe himself as a role model. Instead, he’d just like his story to inspire his people.

Gorimbo UFC Vegas

“I’m not a guy that is a role model,” Themba Gorimbo said. “I’m just Themba Gorimbo. That’s what I’m proud of firstly. … When I sit at home, before sleeping at home in my bed, I reflect, and I don’t make the same mistakes again. So I’m not a role model, but I want to be an inspiration and I think I am. … I am inspiration more than a role model.”

Who do you think will headline the UFC Africa card?
