Jack Marshman and John Phillips will kick off the main card of UFC on ESPN+ 5 at the O2 Arena in London, England.

As always, LowkickMMA will have you covered with all the results from UFC London as they break.

Marshman (22-8) has lost three of his last four fights heading into London. He most recently suffered a unanimous decision loss to Karl Roberson at UFC 230. As for Phillips (21-8). He is coming off of back to back losses for the first time in his career. The Welsch fighter will look to get back on track in England.

Round One

Marshman and Phillips meet in the center of the Octagon and high five each other. The men back off and attempt to read one another. Phillips is pumping his jab as he takes the center of the cage. He cracks Marshman on the chin with a right hand and presses him against the cage. Phillips lands a couple of knees then breaks free. Marshman circles right and Phillips cuts the angle and lands another right hand. Marshman attempts a level change but Phillips shuts it down. Phillips lands a big right hook that sends Marshman to the canvas, he stands above him as Marshman gets back to his feet, phillips missed a major opportunity there as he let him back to his feet. Phillips settles back into the center of the cage and lands a leg kick. He moves forward and faints to control the tempo of the fight. Marshman throws a body kick as the round ends.

Round Two

Phillips takes the center of the Octagon to start the second round. Marshman throws a lazy leg kick. Phillips lands an overhand left hand and follows it with a leg kick of his own. Marshman is fighting with his back to the cage but still has good footwork. Phillips pumps his jab and tries to close the distance but Marshman evades. Phillips connects on a straight left hand as Marshman backtracked. Marshman lands a hard body kick that takes Phillips off his feet. He gets up quickly and eats a right hand from Marshman. Marshman throws another hard body kick that thuds Phillips’ torso. He pumps the jab and uses his footwork to move out of harm’s way. 45 seconds left in the second round and Marshman continues to use his footwork to create openings. He cracks Phillips with a right hand with five seconds in the round.

Round Three

The fighters embrace to start the final round. Phillips takes the center and cracks Marshman with a straight right hand. Marshman lands a body kick as Phillips faints. The pace has slowed significantly here in round three. Both men trade leg kicks. Phillips cuts an angle and throws a one-two that just misses Marshman. Another hard body kick is landed by Marshman. Two minutes left in the fight. Not to beat a dead horse, but, Marshman’s footwork has really been the story of this fight. Phillips lands a right hand flush but Marshman smiles as to say it didn’t hurt. Phillips is stalking Marshman with desperation. He lands a straight left hand. The fighters trade back and forth as the bell sounds.

UFC on ESPN+ 5 preliminary card results are underway as the Las Vegas-based promotion holds this latest event on television for fight fans around the world to watch the show.

It’s once again fight day here at LowKickMMA, and the talent on display today (Saturday, March 16, 2019) will come from in the form of UFC on ESPN+ 5. Headlining the card are , but there’s a whole bunch of great fights also taking place on the preliminary section of the card.

Arnold Allen vs. Jordan Rinaldi in a featherweight bout closes the preliminary card on ESPN+ in what should be an interesting fight.

Joseph Duffy vs. Marc Diakiese is next in a lightweight bout.

Nicolae Negumereanu vs. Saparbek Safarov is next in a light heavyweight bout.

Dan Ige vs. Danny Henry is next in a featherweight bout.

Molly McCann vs. Priscila Cachoeira is next in a women’s flyweight bout.

Opening the prelims is Mike Grundy vs. Nad Narimani in a featherweight bout.

UFC on ESPN+ 5 fight nixed over some health concerns that popped up just a few hours before the event was scheduled to take place.

Tom Breese is out of his fight with Ian Heinisch was supposed to take place as part of preliminary portion of this card.

The news was brought to light once Heinisch that stated that his opponent had been pulled due to health concerns. He wrote the following on his official Instagram account:

“I was 100% physically and mentally ready for tonight I worked so hard for this fight. My coaches, manager, teammates, family and sponsors came out to support me through this whole process. Unfortunately my opponent is going through some health issues right now and he pulled out of the fight. Even though I am so heartbroken and so angry at him . I know God has a bigger plan and I pray he is okay. Thank you to all my family, friends, sponsors, manager, teammates and coaches I love you all and I am sorry I won’t be able to put a show on tonight! Thank you to @mickmaynard2 and the @ufc for the opportunity I’ll be back soon and more ready than ever!”

Then, Breeze’s manager, Graham Boylan, gave the following statement to MMA Fighting:

“Our apologies to Ian and team we have total admiration and respect in how he’s handled this situation. Tom will need some time to sort things out, he’s an amazing young talent and has the full support of both myself and his team. Right now we wish everyone competing in tonight’s fights the very best of luck and a big thank you to the UFC for their understanding.”

Darren Till vs. Jorge Masvidal in a welterweight bout will serve as the headliner of the show that goes down this afternoon. Here’s the updated card:

UFC on ESPN + 5 is here, and it goes down today (Saturday, March 16, 2019) from the O2 Arena in London, England. The main card will air on ESPN + at 4 pm ET. The preliminary card will air on ESPN + at 1 pm ET.

Darren Till vs. Jorge Masvidal in a welterweight bout will serve as the headliner. In the co-main event, Gunnar Nelson vs. Leon Edwards in a welterweight bout takes place.

Rounding out the six bout main card is Volkan Oezdemir vs. Dominick Reyes in a light heavyweight bout, Nathaniel Wood vs. Jose Alberto Quinonez in a bantamweight bout, Danny Roberts vs. Claudio Silva in a welterweight bout, and Jack Marshman vs. John Phillips in a middleweight bout.
