IT’S TIME! The UFC Vegas 19 main event is finally upon us. Curtis Blaydes is set to take on Derrick Lewis.

Round 1: Curtis Blaydes is bouncing around the Octagon. The first time he moves in Derrick Lewis pops him and sends him tumbling. He manages to stay upright and they go back out to the feeling out process. It doesn’t last long though and both men just miss with huge shots. Lewis is back up against the fence, throwing kicks to maintain distance. Blaydes is putting his shots together now. He lands a nice straight right on Lewis. He follows that up with a few low-leg kicks. Another striking exchange that Blaydes comes out looking good. It’s all a bit wild but he’s winning this round. Lewis appears to cover up. Blaydes tries to throw a throwing knee. He remains cautious despite the fact he’s clearly outstriking the heavy hitter to this point. An eye poke brings a halt to the action with just a few seconds left of round one. One more exchange before the horn sounds.

Round 2: More eye poke drama at the start of round two. Herb Dean warns the fighters. Blaydes uses a flurry of strikes to work his way in for a takedown attempt. Lewis shakes it off. Blaydes shoots in and eats a huge uppercut. He’s out! Lewis lands a couple of follow up shots but they are not needed.

In the UFC Vegas 19 co-main event we have a bantamweight matchup between Ketlen Vieira and Yana Kunitskaya.

Round 1: Ketlen Vieira comes out swinging big. Yana Kunitskaya lands a low-leg kick but is quickly defending a takedown attempt early. Kunitskaya does well to stay up early but is eventually dragged to the mat. Kunitskaya quickly pops back up. These two ladies are exchanging techniques against the fence. Vieira gets another takedown – this one is in the middle of the mat. She’s advancing position well here. Kunitskaya is able to prevent the mount for a moment but Vieira gets it. The Brazilian is trying to rain down strikes but is pushed back to half-guard. Vieira is trying again for the mount. Kunitskaya is hitting her with short shots from the bottom before rounds one ends.

Round 2: Kunitskaya is aggressive at the start of round two. She pushes her opponent against the fence. Lot’s of volume but nothing of note. Kunitskaya gets the fight to the floor. She’s sitting in her opponent’s guard throwing body shots. Vieira is very active in this position. Lots of submission attempts. So far, Kunitskaya has done well to defend. Vieira throws up a triangle choke. Kunitskaya defends once again. Vieira rolls for a leg lock. She doesn’t finish but uses the submission attempt to get back to her feet. Kunitskaya has the fight controlled against the fence. Viera hits the throw but is unable to secure the position. Kunitskaya is back up and in control. The fight is back down on the mat and Kunitskaya is throwing knees from side control. Kunitskaya is letting nasty elbows go to the body. Kunitskaya lands a head kick on Vieira as she stands back up towards the end of the second round.

Round 3: They touch gloves at the start of round three. It seems to be one round a piece at this point. We have a huge round ahead of us. Vieira shoots and scores with her takedown attempt. The Brazilian is in half guard trying her best to get into the mount. Kunitskaya is defending with everything. Eventually, she gets it. Just under three minutes left on the clock. Vieira transitions to the back. She’s got both hooks in but is up against the fence so it’s stifling her attacks. Kunitskaya clears one of the hooks and is throwing punches back at her opponent. The clock is ticking down now and this fight appears to be getting away from Kunitskaya. She eventually reverses the position and is throwing bombs at Vieira right up until the final bell.

Up next at UFC Vegas 19 we have an exciting featherweight fight between Charles Rosa and Darrick Minner.

Round 1: They clinch up early. Darrick Minner tries to land a knee on the exit. He’s storming forward now and is catching Charles Rosa with some wild punches. Minner catches a kick and drags this fight to the mat. Rosa pops back up but it’s not long before he’s dragged back down to the floor. Minner is in side control. Rosa has an arm locked up but is using it to stifle his opponent’s attacks rather than pursue submissions. Rosa tries for an armbar. He follows that up with a leg lock attempt. Minner survives those attempts and maintains top position excellently. Lot’s of scrambling from Rosa on the bottom but he’s unable to get back up. Minner transitions to the back and then into full mount. He’s locking up an arm-triangle choke. Rosa defends once again. It’s a ferocious pace on the floor here. The scramble leaves both fighters in an odd position and as round one comes to a close Rosa is trying for another leg lock.

Round 2: Minner lands a powerful low leg kick and several strikes upstairs at the start of round two. Minner drops Rosa and swarms on the mat. He takes the back of Rosa before opting to move to mount. Some short shots are going in from this position but nothing that makes you think this fight is close to over. Rosa kicks off the fence and does well to recover guard. He’s searching for an armbar but Minner shakes it off. Rosa is setting up a triangle choke from the bottom. It’s relentless stuff from Rosa on the bottom but Minner is in control and winning this fight. Minner is in side control dropping elbows in. He hops to the back of Rosa who tries to stand up. Minner maintains positions and drags the fight back down. In the mount again. He’s stuck to Rosa like glue. Minner locks up an arm-triangle choke. It looks tight. Rosa survives and immediately attacks the arm. Minner shakes it off and gets back to working his ground and pound. Rosa once again threatens with an armbar attempt as we close out round two.

Round 3: Rosa pushes forward at the start of this final round. It’s not long before Minner is pushing him back and has this fight back on the mat. Rosa is trying for the kimura but Minner is nearly mounted. It’s going to be tough to finish it from here. He uses it to recover his guard. Minner locks up the position. Rosa is backing into the cage. His cage is screaming for him to stand up but the fighter seems happy throwing up submission attempts. Another armbar attempt. Minner shakes it off. Omaplata from the blood-soaked Rosa now. Minner stays patient and works his way out. He drops the odd punch but is content to maintain position. Minner transitions to the back. Into the final minute now this fight has been all Minner – super impressive. Rosa is throwing elbows and punches from the bottom. Minner covers up and survives the onslaught to see out this final round.

Round 1: Both fighters are swinging early. They eventually clinch up with Oleinik up against the fence. Oleinik reverses and has the underhooks. Oleinik pulls guard but is unable to as Daukaus lands some huge shots. Daukaus lands a right that seems to have partially hurt Oleinik. Daukaus starts to unload on Oleinik soon after as the referee eventually stops the fight!

Next up on the UFC Vegas 19 main card is a middleweight encounter between Phil Hawes and Nassourdine Imavov.

Round 1: Hawes lands a leg kick. He follows it with a couple more as he backs Imavov against the cage. Hawes feints a takedown before throwing a number of huge strikes but Imavov seems to be fine as he partially blocked them. Hawes lands another leg kick that nearly drops Imavov. Hawes clinches Imavov up against the fence. Hawes lands some knees but there’s not a lot of action here as the referee provides a warning. Hawes starts to land some punches before taking Imavov down with just over a minute to go. Imavov gets up but is taken right down as Hawes is in side control. Hawes transitions to half guard and lands some shots as the round ends.

Round 2: After some early exchanges, Hawes goes back to clinching Imavov up against the fence as he no doubt is looking to take him down again. Hawes partially takes him down but Imavov gets back to his feet as he remains controlled against the cage. Hawes lands some strikes and knees before Imavov separates. Imavov wobbles Hawes with a left hook. He starts to pour on the pressure but Hawes times a takedown perfectly. Imavov gets to his feet but Hawes has his back. Imavov looks to attempt a kimura but Hawes transitions to half guard and looks to start some ground and pound. Hawes isn’t landing heavy shots but is landing while Imavov is active from the bottom with some elbows. The round ends.

Round 3: Hawes connects with a leg kick. He quickly goes for a explosive takedown but Imavov gets to his feet. Hawes has his back but eventually clinches him up against the fence. Imavov separates and looks to get his striking going. Hawes starts to pressure and back up Imavov though. Imavov blocks a spinning back kick. Imavov slips as he looks to strike and finds himself clinched up against the fence again. Imavov separates and connects again as he wobbles Hawes! Imavov clinches him now but Hawes now takes him to the other side of the Octagon and looks for a takedown with over a minute remaining. Imavov lands a couple of elbows and connects with a big knee. Hawes clinches Imavov against the fence as the fight ends.

Official result: Phil Hawes defeats Nassourdine Imavov via majority decision (28-28, 29-28, 29-28).

Round 1: Aspinall starts the fight with a jab. Arlovski blitzes but Aspinall avoids it. Aspinall lands a right. Arlovski is backed up against the cage. Aspinall lands a couple of leg kicks. Aspinall hurts Arlovski and unloads a barrage of punches and body shots. Arlovski fights back and manages to survive as Aspinall has him clinched up against the fence. Arlovski eventually separates and they return to striking. Aspinall evades a jab and starts to pressure Arlovski again. Arlovksi lands a shot during a blitz but Aspinall reverses and clinches him up against the fence again. They separate again and are back in the center of the Octagon. Arlovski misses a head kick but lands a big right. Arlovski connects with a body kick to end the round.

Round 2: Arlovski misses a front kick to start the round. Aspinall blocks another but eats a right hand. Arlovski lands a body shot. Aspinall replies with some leg kicks. Arlovksi lands a right but Aspinall laughs it off. Arlovski misses a spinning back kick. Aspinall goes for a blast double and transitions to a rear naked choke and quickly gets the win!

Official result: Tom Aspinall defeats Andrei Arlovski via submission (R2, 1:09).
