Before a big fight, Conor McGregor is like a caged lion.
Don’t poke him—better yet, don’t even look at him the wrong way—because the King of Dublin is an absolute wild man.
Right before his weigh-in for Saturday night’s headliner with Chad Mendes at UFC 189, McGregor got into a strange scuffle with Mendes’ teammate Urijah Faber. In a video Faber posted on his Instagram, McGregor kind of pats him on the head and calls him a “little man.”
Faber laughs a bit and appears to joke back, but McGregor didn’t take kindly to that. The two had to be separated.
“Eh, nothing,” McGregor said of the altercation. “He tried to… I don’t know. I arm-dragged him into a double. I could’ve dropped him on his head right there and then. Nothing happened.”
McGregor had to drop a crazy amount of weight in the week leading up to the weigh-in—the actual number is up for debate—so maybe that’s why he was so quick to go after Faber.
On Faber’s IG post, he said, “I’ve seen crack heads roaming the streets that look healthier than McGregor right now.”
Whatever the case, expect to see an even crazier Irishman in the octagon Saturday night.
