In the second fight of the UFC 131 pay per view, UFC newcomers Dave Herman and John-Olav Einemo went to battle in a heavyweight battle..
Here is how the second round went down.
Herman came out the aggressor in the second round, throwing knees and a punch, but Einemo was quick to clinch up.
Then Einemo started to pour it on. He landed three right hands that landed flush on Herman’s chin, then followed up with a knee that seemed to hurt Herman.
Then Einemo went for a huge right hand that missed, he slipped as he threw it, and ended up on his back.
After a break to put a mouth piece back in Einemo landed a big knee that hurt Herman badly. Then out of nowhere, Herman landed a huge knee that floored Einemo. Herman landed some big ground and pound before he let Einemo up.
With a little under two minutes left, they both traded huge shots, then Herman landed the knee that sent Einemo down. A few punches later, the referee stepped in to stop the fight.
Can you say “fight of the night?”
Official result: Dave Herman def John-Olav Einemo via TKO at 3:19 of round two.
