After earning the Strikeforce light heavyweight title and picking up a win over MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko, Dan Henderson will make his return to the UFC for a clash with former UFC champion Mauricio Rua at UFC 139.
With Pride and Strikeforce belts already in his career, the 41-year-old Henderson is after the one thing that has eluded him throughout his illustrious career, a UFC belt.
With a win over Rua, Henderson would put himself in position to compete for a title at 185 or 205 pounds.
Having recently lost his belt to Jon Jones, Rua is also looking for another chance to become champion, though. In his most recent fight, Rua avenged a loss to Forrest Griffin by scoring a knockout in the first round of their matchup at UFC 134.
Being held at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif., UFC 139 will also feature an intriguing fight between Wanderlei Silva and Cung Le.
In a fight that could determine the next bantamweight contender, Urijah Faber and Brian Bowles will also meet on Nov. 19.
