Another member of the historic Gracie clan looks to be on his way towards the UFC according to recent reports.

Gracie Magazine tweeted yesterday that jiu-jitsu ace and current Strikeforce light-heavyweight Roger Gracie has signed with the UFC and may train with current UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva prior to his Octagon debut.

The UFC has not confirmed the signing yet, but on Gracie’s Facebook fan page, he has posted a link to another Twitter post regarding the possible signing.

Gracie has not fought since last September, knocked out by Muhammed Lawal in the first round, his first career loss.  Previously, Gracie went 4-0 to start off his mixed martial arts career, defeating each opponent via submission.

Notable wins include a first-round submission over Trevor Prangley and a second-round choke out of Kevin Randleman in his Strikeforce debut.

A highly skilled Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, Gracie also holds submission grappling victories over many of MMA‘s premier ground fighters, including Ronaldo Souza, Fabricio Werdum, Demian Maia, Jon Olav Einemo and Shinya Aoki.

No word yet as to when an official announcement will be made and no details yet as to when Gracie will make his debut or who his first opponent will be.
