Despite his myriad of accolades, record breaking title reign and extraordinary ability inside the Octagon, Anderson Silva wants the fans to understand that, underneath it all, he’s just a regular guy—at least according to his latest commercial endeavor.
Starring in the latest UFC on FOX promotional ad, embedded above, the UFC’s middleweight champion humorously uses his martial arts talents to help out in everyday, domestic situations.
This promo is just the latest addition to Silva’s commercial résumé, appearing in many comedic ads in Brazil for companies such as Burger King and Ford.

Outside of the acting realm, Silva has a more serious challenge ahead of him as his rematch with outspoken nemesis Chael Sonnen was officially slated for UFC 147.
The bout, scheduled for June 23, will take place at the Joao Havelange Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
In their first match, Sonnen took the champion to the brink of defeat, brutally beating Silva down for almost five full rounds at UFC 117 in August of 2010. In a last ditch effort, Silva was able to secure a triangle choke/armbar combination to submit Sonnen and retain his middleweight crown.
