This Friday night, a bout between Mike Chiesa and Al Iaquinta will decide the latest winner of The Ultimate Fighter in the series’ first FX-televised season. While both fighters are likely to get another shot inside the Octagon whether they win or lose, the victor will receive a guaranteed six-figure contract with the world’s premier MMA organization.
Additionally, Friday’s event at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas will also feature a matchup between elite welterweights Jake Ellenberger and Martin Kampmann. With his only loss in his past 11 fights coming against interim champion Carlos Condit, a dominant win over Kampmann could put Ellenberger at the front of the line for a 170-pound title fight.
The fight card will also include a majority of the participants who made it past the elimination round on the reality series. Due to injuries, only four of the elimination round winners will not compete at Friday night’s event.
Shortly after the event concludes, Ellenberger, Kampmann, Chiesa, Iaquinta and several more of the night’s competitors will join UFC president Dana White for a post-fight press conference. A live streaming feed of the post-fight press conference will be available on the below video player shortly after the finale comes to an end.
