Chael Sonnen makes a solid Dennis.
The UFC fighter is just one of a few celebrities taking over for the regular cast of one of the funniest shows on TV right now.
The ninth season of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia returns with an episode called “Pop-Pop: The Final Solution” on Oct. 11 at 10 p.m. ET on FX.
Until then, we have this hilarious video (h/t Big Lead Sports) to keep us all giggly until next month.
Sonnen, a man who is far more comfortable in the Octagon, shows off his comedic acting skills playing the new Dennis.
He pulls it off rather nicely.
The best parts may be at the 3:30 mark, when he sings “Dayman” with Full House‘s Candace Cameron, and at the 4:00 mark, when he talks about finally getting his big break.
“The plight of the blue-eyed German male in this country. If I finally get my chance, great. If not, I’ll go back to the street and return to gang life,” Sonnen says.
Other than that, I loved watching Haley Joel Osment answer the paranoid question of whether he and Xzibit really want to put their baby in a tanning bed. Of course they do, but just to get a nice base.
Who knows how much Sonnen we will see on the first episode, but he certainly did enough to make Glenn Howerton, who plays Dennis Reynolds, a little nervous.
