Demetrious Johnson’s first title defense as UFC flyweight champion will come against The Ultimate Fighter winner John Dodson on network television at UFC on Fox 6 on Saturday.
Johnson earned his belt in September with a win in a closely contested championship bout with Joseph Benavidez. Dodson, meanwhile, separated himself as Johnson’s first challenger by knocking out highly touted UFC newcomer Jussier Formiga.
In addition to the 125-pound title fight, UFC on Fox 6 will also feature two potential title-shot eliminators.
At lightweight, former WEC stars Anthony Pettis and Donald Cerrone will battle for a potential rematch with UFC lightweight titleholder Benson Henderson. Additionally, elite featherweights Erik Koch and Ricardo Lamas will try to separate themselves from the pack of contenders at 145 pounds.
The event could also mark the end of Quinton Jackson‘s time with the organization, as he will complete the final fight on his current UFC contract.
Before Saturday’s event, which will take place at the United Center in Chicago, the fighters will hit the scales on Friday at 5 p.m. ET. Video of the weigh-ins will be streamed live on the above video player.
