You’d think that it might be tough to fill a daily post about the ins and outs of the MMA twitter world. After all, how much is there to say? When your job consists of beating another man into submission, it just doesn’t seem like much talk would be necessary.

Lucky for me, MMA fighters are a verbose lot. Especially the fighters in the UFC, who are incentivized to tweet by the promise of buckets full of cash if they do it right. That makes everyday and adventure in the wacky world of MMA twitter. Ready for today’s oddball posts?

War Machine is like the gift that continues giving. Once we had to wait until some lucky MMA reporter caught him on the phone to hear his thoughts on life. Then someone taught him to use the computer and all was right in the world.

Every time he goes to prison and leaves Twitter, it’s like we are all being punished. And that, friends, is likely Unconstitutional.

File this under “Things that have never happened to me or anyone I know.” Sometimes it seems like certain people attract trouble. Ian McCall may be one of those people. Or maybe he just looks like a dude who would be down for some illegal street racing?

Chael Sonnen was not included in the inaugural UFC rankings. As expected, he handled the situation like a true West Linn gangster.

Speaking of rankings, my poor colleague Jeremy Botter was deluged with hate mail for his. One of 30 journalists responsible for men and women’s lives, I don’t envy Botter and his mailbag full of virtual poo. Why y’all want to do Jeremy like that?

Meanwhile, while everyone else was talking, Ross Pearson was getting kneed in the face. Ouch.

We’ll close today with Tim Kennedy. I was shocked to learn that Mr. Kennedy, a middleweight making the transition from Strikeforce to the UFC, was a veteran of the Armed Forces. I don’t think he’s ever mentioned that. That’s brand new information!
