While many have been complimentary of Ronda Rousey’s performance as host of Saturday Night Live this weekend, one longtime rival was less than impressed with “Rowdy” Ronda.
Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino took to social media early Sunday morning, almost immediately after SNL concluded, to blast Rousey just days after seemingly “taking it easy” on Rousey when discussing her during a recent media interview.
Cyborg, who related to Rousey dealing with the public reaction to her first pro MMA loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193 in November during a recent interview, logged onto Twitter to take a shot at Rousey, using a double-pun to blast the female UFC star.
“Watching SNL and it looks like Ronda Rousey still needs help on her standup,” wrote the Invicta FC Featherweight Champion, referring to Rousey’s comedic ability as much as her stand-up striking ability.
You can check out Cyborg’s tweet below.

Before Anthony Johnson fights Ryan Bader on next Saturday’s UFC on FOX 18 show in New Jersey, watch this knockout win he scored against Yoshiyuki Yoshida at UFC 104 back in 2009.
On October 24th, 2009, at UFC 104: Machida vs. Shogun I, Anthony Johnson missed the welterweight limit by 5 lbs against the already undersized Yoshiyuki Yoshida. Johnson came into this contest on the heels of consecutive knockout wins over Luigi Fioravanti and Kevin Burns, while Yoshida had just submitted Brandon Wolff, but was otherwise two fights removed from Josh Koscheck almost ending his life.
To the surprise of no one, Johnson slaughtered Yoshida in under a minute. After hurting him with a series of punches in the opening half-minute, Johnson delivered the killshot with one last right hand. You can watch the whole thing, all 41 seconds of it, at the top of the page. I must admit, this is a strange “free fight video” to pick out of Rumble’s extensive catalogue of knockout victories.
MMA legend Yuki Nakai and Greg Jackson in Yoshida’s corner. Cung Le and Josh “The Punk” Thomson in Anthony Johnson’s corner. Johnson has eight angry inches of reach advantage. Refereee Steve Mazzagatti rocking black latex gloves. Round 1 Yoshida staying well back of Johnson’s range. Johnson scoring with hooks. WOW. Johnson Knocks out Yoshiyuki Yoshida.
And here’s how Bloody Elbow’s comments section reacted:
To put things in perspective, Johnson defeated Andrei Arlovski in 2013 as a heavyweight, while Yoshida is currently competing at lightweight. Yup. Johnson only had three more bouts at welterweight before he took his scale-breaking talents to middleweight, which led to his temporary exile from the UFC before returning as a fully-fledged 205 lbs contender. Yoshida was released after losing to Mike Guymon in 2010, and now fights in Japan. He also beat Phil Baroni in a ONE FC bout back in 2011, so he’s one of THE BEST EVAH!
Anthony Johnson vs. Ryan Bader headlines UFC on FOX 18 next Saturday night at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jesey.
Cris Cyborg may have felt bad for the way fans have treating Ronda Rousey since losing her Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s bantamweight title to Holly Holm at UFC 193 a few months ago (see it again here), but that didn’t stop her from throwing a verbal jab “Rowdy’s” way last night.
Apparently, Cyborg tuned in to catch Rousey’s hosting gig on Saturday Night Live; and needles to say she wasn’t impressed by what she saw.
Watching #SNL and it looks like @rondarousey still needs help on her standup
Of course, Cris is throwing two insults with one verbal jab, clowning her comedic skills, as well as her striking abilities.
That’s just the latest fire Cris has thrown Rousey’s way, as the two talented female fighters have been going at it for the past few years; though it has never lead to an actual fight inside the cage.
What say you, Maniacs, were you as (un) impressed with Rousey’s acting on “SNL?” In case you didn’t see it and want to offer up your review, click here to see all of her skit’s from the show.
Low blow, or clever jab?

This Saturday night (January 30, 2016) the UFC returns with the anticipated UFC on FOX 18 from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
The free television event features a pivotal light heavyweight main event between No. 2-ranked former title challenger Anthony “Rumble” Johnson and streaking contender Ryan Bader, whose been very vocal about a title shot due to five straight victories.
He’ll almost certainly get it if he can get past the monstrous challenge of “Rumble,” who most recently rebounded from his discouraging title loss to Daniel Cormier at UFC 187 by knocking out Jimi Manuwa at September’s UFC 191, but that opportunity will be held up based on what happens in the awaited return of former champion Jon Jones.
Either way, his fight with Johnson is undoubtedly the biggest of his career, and one that will shape the near future of the relatively shallow UFC light heavyweight division. To prepare for the event, the UFC has released Road to the Octagon for UFC on FOX 18’s main bouts. Watch the full segment for “Rumble” vs. Bader right here, and look out for the second and third videos on the following pages:

Conor McGregor believes Frankie Edgar is in desperation mode and plans to make him “sit for a while” before earning a featherweight title shot.
It’s been three years since Frankie Edgar last fought for a UFC title and the consensus is that he’s long overdue another championship epic.
The Toms River product, who lost to then-champion Jose Aldo in a competitive five-round fight at UFC 156, is riding a five-fight win streak and is listed as the #2 ranked featherweight in the world. Dana Whitepromised to deliver the goods after he knocked out top featherweight contender Chad Mendes in December but Conor McGregor had other plans.
After KO’ing Jose Aldo in a record-setting time of thirteen seconds to claim the featherweight title at UFC 194, the Irishman promised to take the lightweight throne in his next fight. “The Notorious” will challenge Rafael dos Anjos for the 155 lbs. strap in a champion vs. champion superfight at UFC 197.
When promoting the bout at a recent press conference, McGregor vowed to make Edgar wait his turn after desperately “begging” for a title shot.
“Frankie has a little bit of desperation about him or something,” McGregor said. “He went 0-2 at lightweight, got the chance to fight for the featherweight title and got the head slapped off him. Now he’s running around begging. It has a stink of desperation off of it, so I’m just going to let him sit for a while.”
