When Jon Jones responded to comments made by Chuck Liddell, “The Iceman” wasn’t concerned.
Liddell and Jones actually “met up” during UFC 196 in Las Vegas, and despite the fact that UFC president Dana White was concerned over a possible altercation, Liddell told “Inside MMA” that he just wanted to “talk things out.”
“You have my phone number,” Liddell said he told Jones. “If you ever see an interview and you’re worried about it, call me and we’ll talk it out. If we have a problem, trust met.
“If I have a problem with you, you won’t have to look for me. I’ll show up.”

Luis Henrique and Jonathan Wilson will go head-to-head at UFC 199, officials announced recently.
The bout will be part of the June 4 event from Los Angeles and The Forum. In the main event that night, Luke Rockhold defends his middleweight title vs. Chris Weidman, while Dominick Cruz does the same with his bantamweight belt vs. Urijah Faber.
Henrique (8-2), a 22-year-old prospect from Brazil, suffered a stoppage loss to Francis Ngannou at heavyweight in his debut this past December. He had won six in a row prior to the loss, and will now compete at light heavyweight.
Wilson (7-0) made an impact in August with a 50-second KO of Chris Dempsey in his UFC debut. Five of his wins have come inside of the first round.
Along with the two title fights and Henrique-Wilson, Bobby Green meets Dustin Poirier, Evan Dunham faces Leonardo Santos and Kevin Casey battles Elvis Mutapcic.

Excuse of the weak: it's not that I wasn't man enough to get my back off the cage, Herb Dean allowed him to do it
During a recent Nevada Athletic Commission hearing, it was announced that veteran referee Herb Dean will serve as the third man inside the Octagon at UFC 197 when Jon Jones challenges Daniel Cormier for the light heavyweight title.
While Cormier made it known that he is not a fan of Dean, “Bones” took the news as a chance to call-out his bitter rival once again.
Last January, Jones successfully defended his title against Cormier via decision. He was stripped of the belt following a legal run-in, allowing “DC” to win it vs. Anthony Johnson.

A key bout in the female bantamweight division has been added to UFC Fight Night 88, as Jessica Eye meets Sara McMann.
The event is scheduled for May 29 from Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, with Thomas Almeida taking on Cody Garbrandt in the main event.
Eye (11-4) is just 1-3 over his UFC career, but she has been paired up against the best of the best. Her losses have come vs. current champion Miesha Tate via decision, top challenger Julianna Pena via decision and former contender Alexis Davis via split decision.
McMann (8-3), who lost to then-champion Ronda Rousey in 2014, is on a two-fight losing streak. She was submitted by Amanda Nunes last August after a January defeat to Tate.
Other bouts set for the night include Renan Barao-Jeremy Stephens, Tarec Saffiedine-Rick Story and Chris Camozzi-Vitor Miranda.
The UFC and Harley-Davidson have had a long-running partnership, and that is going to continue moving forward.
The promotion announced on Thursday that the two sides have reached a new agreement, extending their deal that first started in 2007.
Previously, winners of The Ultimate Fighter have received Harley-Davidson motorcycles for their performances.
Below is the complete press release regarding the news, which also mentions the return of a “Fight for the Troops” event in the near future:
UFC today announced the renewal of its longstanding partnership with Harley-Davidson via multi-year extension. The continued collaboration with the world’s most famous motorcycle company will showcase signature branding across multiple UFC-based platforms, including social, digital and programming with events on Pay-Per-View, UFC FIGHT PASS® and with global broadcast partners.
“We are excited to continue our partnership with Harley-Davidson,” UFC Executive Vice President of Global Marketing Partnerships Mike Mossholder said. “As a core sponsor since 2007, Harley has played a vital role in the growth of our sport, as our audiences align perfectly with riding enthusiasts and fight fans. Two pillar programs of our new partnership surround two passionate initiatives for both brands: A military program that provides benefits to both active and non-active military personnel, as well as first responders and Harley riders socializing at their local dealerships to watch UFC Pay-Per-View events.”
In conjunction with the extension, both global companies jointly announce a new military platform to offer exclusive benefits to active armed services personnel and veterans. Military men and women, both active and non-active, will be able to access unprecedented offers, including: discounted tickets at select events, discounted subscriptions to UFC FIGHT PASS, fight week meet and greet opportunities with UFC athletes and personalities, entry to invite-only viewing parties and discounted passes to the annual UFC Fan Expo® during International Fight Week. In addition to this program, Harley will continue to offer its free riding academy services to military personnel and first responders.
“In 2007, we began a unique partnership combining two all-American brands, Harley-Davidson and UFC,” said Harley-Davidson U.S. Marketing Director Dino Bernacchi. “Our partnership with UFC has helped expose millions of new consumers to Harley-Davidson, the only motorcycle worthy of being in the Octagon. UFC athletes have spread their enthusiasm for Harley-Davidson outside of the Octagon and together with UFC fans are helping grow the sport of Harley-Davidson motorcycling in the U.S.”
UFC and Harley-Davidson have also launched a new dealer viewing party program which began with UFC 196. The program provides more than 600 Harley dealerships throughout the United States with the ability to host UFC Pay-Per-View events for all fight fans and riding enthusiasts.
For the first time since 2013, UFC and Harley-Davidson will host a UFC Fight for the Troops event in the future. For more information on the UFC – Harley-Davidson military program, please visit www.ufc.com/military.
