Many have argued this topic the past year. Who is the best pound for pound fighter in the UFC today? Some say Anderson Silva, while others argue it’s Jon “Bones” Jones. Both fighters make a compelling argument, but there can be only one. So who is it?

This week Bleacher Report MMA contributors debate who is the best pound for pound fighters in the octagon today.  Matt Connolly starts off by talking about how Anderson Silva is the best pound for pound fighter. How Silva has shown his dominance throughout the weight classes.  Demolished the middleweight and walked through the 205 pounders.

Andrew Brining argues the dominance Jon Jones has been showing and when or if Jones moves to Heavyweight he will be just as effective.  Brining states that pound for pound is always a “what if” discussion and Jon Jones wins all of those. Clearly there are arguments for both fighters being the best, but only time will tell.

The Ultimate Show is back this week in a brand new format. You now have the power to watch each segment in the order you want. Or just sit back and watch the channel and enjoy TUS.

The UFC on FX was broadcast live from Sydney, Australia. The flyweight division debuted with two semifinals matchups.  Joseph Benavidez squared off against Japanese Fighter Yasuhiro Urushitani. Early in the second round, Benavidez landed a right hook that sent Urushitani to the ground for a knockout finish.

The second flyweight matchup was not as easy to call. Demetrious Johnson battled Ian McCall for all three rounds, which resulted in the judges crowning Johnson the victor. However, an error on the judges’ card was discovered after the initial call and the decision was changed to a draw. Now both fighters will meet once more to face off for a shot at the flyweight championship verses Benavidez.

The main event featured a close back-and-forth fight between Thiago Alves and Martin Kampmann. With less than a minute in the third round, Kampmann locked in a guillotine and forced Alves to tap, which made for an exciting finish to the bout.

UFC Undisputed 3 is the best mixed martial arts game available today. Released on Valentine’s Day this year, the game is for anyone who loves the UFC. It features an insane roster of fighters, including everyone from BJ Penn and GSP to Jon Jones and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.

This time around, THQ has really stepped up their game—featuring a laundry list of improvements, including a new submission system, mo-capping of fighters for more realistic moves, a redesigned striking and stamina system and a complete game featuring the PRIDE Mode that includes the best of PRIDE fighters, rings and rules!

The create-a-player is extremely in-depth and really fun to get yourself right in the Octagon. I caught a co-worker playing the game, and I was legitimately rooting for the AI Urijah Faber to win because I didn’t want to to see him get beat. Luckily, AI Urijah was able to beat my co-worker down.

Some other fun things your create-a-character can do is gain sponsorships from some of the best MMA brands, and through career mode you can unlock real-life footage from the history of MMA and the UFC.

The game is so complex that that’s one of its limitations. There is so much stuff to do that the menu system starts to get repetitive and annoying, almost like waiting for Facebook fights to start.

On the other hand—other positives you can’t miss are the multiplier mode, where you can play both 1:1 locally. If you are really feeling up to world domination, you could expand to online multiplayer and battle to become the greatest UFC fighter in the world—in video games.

One question remains—I did find Brittney Palmer in the game, but I’m still on the lookout for Kenda Perez.

If you are a UFC fan, this is the game for you. Pick it up now—it’s on Xbox and PS3. Also look out for more DLC in the future. I give it a solid 4 Westies.

UFC 144 was hyped as one of the best fight cards in the history of the UFC and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Kenda recaps the action and talks about the intense championship bout between Frankie Edgar and Benson Henderson, which ended in slightly controversial fashion.

We sat down with Urijah Faber this week to talk about his upcoming fight with Dominick Cruz. The two met previously as UFC 132 and Cruz came away with the victory. Faber obviously has something different in mind for this match and believes he will be able to outscore him or finish him.

Bleacher Report’s Weston Green breaks down a full review of the new UFC Undisputed 3 game, while we also bring you another identi-fighter for your chance to bring home an exclusive Ultimate Show shirt!
