Anderson Silva‘s star just continues to grow in Brazil.
He has been featured in numerous commercials, including ones for Burger King and Ford, and he’s now been named GQ Brazil’s Sportsman of the Year.
Silva is undoubtedly the best fighter in all of MMA, and he will now be known as the most popular athlete in the entire country of Brazil.
At 36 years of age, Silva has shown almost no signs of slowing down. He defended his middleweight title for a record ninth time in August in the first UFC event in Brazil in more than a decade.
Silva leads a tremendous amount of Brazilian fighters in MMA, and he is an absolute icon in country.
With a record of 31-4, with a 14-0 record in the UFC, how could he not be a huge star?
Silva is currently on the shelf with a shoulder surgery, but is looking to make his return in mid 2012.
