Nicknames are not important in the world of mixed martial arts, but they are definitely a very fun aspect of it. That is, if you have a good nickname.
Many fighters share common nicknames with other fighters, such as “Pitbull” or “The Hammer.” However, every so often, an awesome nickname surfaces and establishes itself in the MMA community.
Some are fun and some are hardcore, but who owns the best nickname in each weight class?
In the spirit of the Olympics, we will choose a winner in each weight class, but will give out a “silver” and “bronze” award for each honorable mention.
