Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones tossed the mixed martial arts world into an uproar last week. Just days prior to his scheduled UFC 200 main event title rematch with Daniel Cormier, Jones was notified of a potential anti-doping violation by USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency). “Bones” was subsequently pulled from his fight.

Holding a press conference early Thursday morning (July 7, 2016) in Las Vegas to address the news, Jones denied knowingly taking any performance-enhancing-drugs (PEDs). Despite his apology, however, there was just one major detail missing: “Bones”, nor his management, revealed what he had tested positive for.

Former Jones foe and fighter turned analyst Chael Sonnen claims to have the answer to that question, however. Check out what “The American Gangster” had to say regarding the situation on today’s (July 11, 2016) edition of The Joe Rogan Experience below:

“This doesn’t make Jon innocent at all. Jon is guilty,” Sonnen said. “The only card that he had to play is what did you test positive for, and they refused to reveal it. He tested positive for some estrogen blockers,” Sonnen said.

“He tested positive for two estrogen blockers, there I revealed it. Aren’t we creating some news?”

There has been no confirmation of these claims by the UFC, USADA, or Jones’ team, but this is the most information we have at this moment. Piggybacking off of Sonnen’s claims, Rogan added that estrogen blockers are usually used by people cycling off of steroids, a statement that “The American Gangster” confirmed:

“Estrogen blockers are usually when people are getting off of steroids,” Rogan said. Sonnen then went on to confirm.

“Correct, when you’re coming off of a cycle,” said Sonnen. “Guys don’t want estrogen so you take the blocker to block that. That’s a way they can catch you after the fact.”

Once again, this all just speculation as of now, but what do you make of Sonnen’s comments?
