UFC superstar Conor McGregor has said he is ready to fight in Russia one day, and will be happy to perform for his fans in the country.

The Irishman commented on MMA featherweight Artem Lobov’s Instagram feed, with the 31-year-old pictured in the Kremlin:

According to Denis Geyko of RT.com, Lobov was in the country to work with Russia’s Federal Protective Service, hosting a seminar for members of the FSO.

Lobov is known to be a close associate of Notorious, and he has trained with the icon on many occasions.

Per Geyko, the Russian Hammer was complimentary when asked about McGregor and Russian leader Vladimir Putin:

Conor versus Vladimir Putin? This is a tough one, you know. I’m not really sure how that one would play out. But obviously they are in different businesses. Conor is in the business of mixed martial arts, and Vladimir Putin is the number one politician in the world. And both of them are the best at what they do.”

McGregor remains as the UFC lightweight champion but was defeated when he made his professional boxing debut against Floyd Mayweather Jr. last August in Las Vegas.
