Dana White doesn’t approve of fighters being involved in physical altercations outside of the Octagon, but he is willing to turn a blind eye on some occasions, especially in the case of Uriah Hall and Jason “Mayhem” Miller.
The two MMA fighters were recently involved in an altercation at a local MMA event in Commerce, California.
Spencer Lazara of MMA Interviews.tv captured most of the incident on camera and posted it on the site’s YouTube page, along with a short summary of everything that allegedly went down.
In the video, Mayhem can clearly be seen throwing up inappropriate jesters and yelling racial slurs at Hall, who was only trying to help diffuse a heated situation between Mayhem and his ex-girlfriend.
After being subjected to Mayhem’s racist taunts, Hall decided he had heard enough and reacted by throwing a punch at the former UFC fighter.
Both men were immediately escorted from the premises.
Many expected the UFC to hand down some form of discipline to Hall for his part in the minor street scrap. Instead, UFC President White posted on Twitter (NSFW) that no form of punishment would befall Hall. Furthermore, Hall might even get a bonus.
On Tuesday, Bleacher Report’s Jeremy Botter sat in on a media conference call, where White addressed reporters on multiple questions regarding the UFC. When asked to elaborate on his handling of the Hall situation, White claimed that every situation is different, and in this incident, he believed Mayhem got exactly what he deserved:
We don’t ever want our fighters fighting outside of the Octagon, but guess what? There’s gonna be situations where men need to handle their business and that’s one of those cases. First of all, Mayhem Miller, how this guy is still walking the f***ing streets of America is beyond me, number one. Number two, he deserved what he got from Uriah Hall, and it’s no different from the situation with Roger Huerta, right? Roger Huerta was in a situation where a guy punched a girl in the face and knocked her out, knocked her unconscious. Then Roger Huerta knocked him out. There’s gonna be cases where I don’t give a sh*t.

Make no mistake about it: Mayhem is nothing more than a remnant of the UFC’s past. During an interview with MMAFighting’s Ariel Helwani, White claimed that Mayhem was “not a UFC fighter.”
The only thing Mayhem has to show for two stints in the UFC is a 0-3 record. He was dropped from the promotion in May 2012 after incurring back-to-back losses to Michael Bisping and CB Dollaway.
In an interview with MMAWeekly.com, Hall claimed that Mayhem somehow managed to get a hold of his phone number and continued his racially charged taunts through text messages:
“’I don’t know how he got my number. I asked and his response was, ‘I am Mayhem Miller, I know everything.’ Hall said. ‘I feel sorry for him. I hope he gets the help that he needs before it gets worse.’”
Sadly, Mayhem hasn’t even taken the initiative to apologize for his actions.
The former beloved star has allowed himself to wallow in controversy and become the one thing he never wanted to be: the bad guy.
