UFC president Dana White appeared on the post-fight show for UFC 197 late Saturday night to discuss things with Megan Olivi on FOX Sports 1.

The card featured Jon Jones besting Ovince Saint Preux to become the interim light heavyweight champion after Jones’ planned fight vs. Daniel Cormier was scrapped due to an injury.

Also, Demetrious Johnson defended his flyweight title with a first round finish of Henry Cejudo, while Edson Barboza topped Anthony Pettis.

Here are some highlights of the interview with White:

Dana White on Jones’ return

“Cormier’s dying right now, wishing he was in there. I’m a firm believer in ring rust. Jon looked rusty and it was good that it was OSP. Now Jones knows what he has to do when he gets back in the gym. He went the five rounds. This was good for him.”

White on Saint Preux

“OSP’s stock went up. He did very well against someone many people believe is one of the best ever. OSP has a broken arm. He suffered it sometime around the fourth round. I don’t know about Jones.”

White on Johnson

“I think he’s ridiculously, incredibly talented. He’s awesome. I believe with Joe Rogan that he’s the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.”

White on Barboza vs. Pettis

“That was my prediction for fight of the night. I agreed with the judges – I gave Barboza the first, Anthony the second and Barboza the third. Anthony looked like he couldn’t pull the trigger. Barboza looked awesome.”
