UFC president Dana White is officially out of the Nick Diaz business.

Upon learning of his no-show appearances, White was forced to remove Diaz from UFC 137, in favour of providing Carlos Condit the next title shot against Georges St-Pierre.

The decision has now left White to question Diaz’s future with the UFC, and for good reason, too.

White spoke to MMA:30 about his decision to drop the Strikeforce welterweight champion from the event, which had cost the company a lot of money. White said the lack of communication from Diaz led to the UFC boss ultimately pulling him off the main event.

“This kid is not going to show up in Vegas, didn’t show up in Toronto, what else is he not going to show up for, is he not going to show up for the fight?” White said regarding Diaz’s absence.

“I’m not going to risk that,” he added.

While Diaz’s move was unprofessional, it was definitely not unheard of.

Prior to signing Diaz, White was fully aware of Diaz’s reputation of ignoring the media; it just isn’t his style. However, Diaz’s recent episode was unexpected and caught White off guard. The outspoken UFC boss has had his fair share of confrontations with certain fighters such Quinton ‘Rampage” Jackson, and most notably Tito Ortiz, but he has never encountered a fighter quite like Diaz.

The move immediately didn’t sit well with the UFC and has led White to believe it’s the last time he’ll hear of Diaz ever again.

“If Nick Diaz wanted to get a hold of me, he should have got a hold of me in the last couple days,” he said.

“I will never accept his word again.”
