The main event on the April 13 UFC fight card will feature two of the best fighters in the promotion’s bantamweight division, as former WEC featherweight champion Urijah Faber faces off against Scott Jorgensen.

Both fighters are ranked in the top 10 in the 135-pound weight class, with Faber (27-6) coming in at No. 2 and Jorgensen (14-6) in the No. 7 spot.

Faber and Jorgensen are on friendly terms, but they both say that fact will not prevent them from going into the Octagon and looking to earn a decisive victory. Jorgensen has said that the plan is for the two to “step inside the Octagon and beat the hell out of each other.” For his part, Faber echoed Jorgensen, saying, “we just had to bite the bullet and we’re going to beat the crap out of each other.”

In addition to the friendship, the two share a common opponent in UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz, who took time to speak to Rick J. Lee about the upcoming bout.

Cruz is 1-1 against Faber. He lost in his first meeting with Faber, a fight that took place in 2007, via first-round submission. Cruz later avenged that loss with a unanimous decision in July 2011. Cruz’s record against Jorgensen is 1-0, earning that win via unanimous decision in December 2010.

In the video, Cruz offers some interesting insight into the training style of his nemesis Faber and wonders if that may have an effect on the outcome of the bout. Take a look at the video to get Cruz’s full opinion on Faber vs. Jorgensen.
