While the sports world was dialed in on the Super Bowl, the MMA world never sleeps—and neither does the team here at Bleacher Report’s Caged In blog. Today, Forrest Griffin campaigns for a new source of income, UFC owner Lorenzo Fertitta obliges him, Frankie Edgar shares a wonderfully disgusting new picture and Bleacher Report adds a familiar new face to our MMA team.
Forrest Griffin has been in some hot water in the past for some inappropriate tweets. Today he posted the question “You think I could get the UFC just to pay me not to tweet?” UFC owner Lorenzo Fertitta was quick to reply in the affirmative. Funny stuff.
Frankie Edgar didn’t have the best night of his life at UFC 156. The former lightweight champion dropped a decision in his featherweight debut, falling short to the great Jose Aldo.
Worse still?
Edgar had some damage to his face that needed sorting out before he could put the experience behind him, something he shared with his fans on Twitter.
