Former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar started calling out Conor McGregor as soon as he defeated Chad Mendes.

However, “The Answer” was not given the reigning UFC featherweight champion.

Edgar will instead meet Jose Aldo Saturday night at UFC 200 for the interim title, and he believes McGregor is purposely feuding with Nate Diaz to avoid him.

“Conor’s ducking me,” said Edgar, during an appearance on UFC Tonight Wednesday.

The bout with Aldo is a rematch of a contest won by the Brazilian back when he held the title. Aldo has since lost it to McGregor in devastating fashion and Edgar believes he is a changed fighter because of it.

“The way he’s acting in the media, he’s like a wounded tiger,” he said. “But you’ve got to be careful of wounded tiger. He’s got to be second guessing himself. He sounds like he’s talking his way back into fighting.”
