The Ultimate Show recently conducted an exclusive interview with UFC lightweight Gray Maynard. Currently ranked as one of the top lightweight fighters in the world, Maynard has been taking some time off since his last fight.
He is currently set for a June 22nd bout with Clay Guida at UFC on FX 4. Guida is another top-ranked lightweight fighter in the world who brings a good chin and toughness to the upcoming fight. Like Guida, Maynard treats fighting as a job and is looking forward to an exciting fight.
When asked about a rematch with noted rival Frankie Edgar, Maynard responded enthusiastically. Being only one of two men to hold a win over Edgar, and Maynard receiving the only loss of his career at the hands of Edgar, this match seems like a win-win for everyone. The fans get to watch a great fight between two of the best lightweights in the world. For Maynard and Edgar, they get to finish off their trilogy and finally see who is the better fighter.
