Upon the news breaking about Frank Mir being forced out due to injury, I began right away to think of who the potential replacements would be. Of course the first to come to mind was Fabricio Werdum, who has no scheduled fight and is as highly regarded as any heavyweight on the planet.
Werdum expresses his interest in the fight, asking how far away the fight is multiple times. He then says he will call his Coach, Rafael Cordeiro to discuss the possibility. He adds that he has been training hard and thinks it is a great fight for him.
