Legacy Fighting Alliance 6 delivered on that as a bout between 2-0 super-prospect Mackenzie Dern and 1-0 fighter Katherine Roy produced one of the strangest techniques seen in recent MMA history. Check it out here:

What Roy’s plan was for that is unclear, but it’s a spitting image of the iconic scene from classic musical The Sound of Music:

In Roy’s defense, that Zangief-style lariat actually came in the final seconds of the first round after a perfectly timed leg kick. Unfortunately, the fight ended with a cut-and-dry unanimous-decision loss with a highlight that will likely follow her around for the foreseeable future.
