The men who compete in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) today are arguably some of the best athletes in the world.

They train hard in multiple fighting disciplines as well as working on their strength, conditioning and cardio.

Some men are simply more dynamic than others. Current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones is one such fighter who is considered an athletic freak. Jones has displayed remarkable talent and is considered the future of MMA. His long limbs, physique and unpredictable striking are the staples of someone vibrant and powerful.

Another perfect example is welterweight kingpin, Georges St. Pierre. He trains every single day with a purpose: to improve his already high-level skills. GSP is excellent in all facets of the fight game; a dynamic athlete who can take in new techniques and add them to his repertoire just as fast.

Anderson Silva also falls into this category. His unbelievable reflexes and pin-point striking make “The Spider” one of the most creative and deadly fighters today.

Other names that come to mind today include featherweight challenger Anthony Pettis and fellow 145 pound boss Jose Aldo. Both of these men have deceptive and powerful striking, a slick ground game and are tough and creative wherever the fight leads.

Some dynamic athletes only come around once a generation. UFC fans growing up today have been lucky to see not only GSP and Silva, but Jones, Aldo, Pettis and more. The new generation of fighters are coming into competitions with more moves and skills than ever before.

Young men and women that have competed and trained in martial arts their entire lives are the future of this sport.

A fighter like Rory MacDonald is a great example. He grew up training and fighting and today is a remarkable and explosive athlete.

As people start training at younger ages today, more and more dynamic athletes will emerge in the future. Certain people will obviously have that “it” factor when it comes to learning and applying their skills, and those are the people to keep your eye on.

Fans today are seeing a renaissance of dynamic athletes in MMA. Nothing left to do now but sit back and enjoy the show.
