In case you didn’t hear, Rony “Jason” Bezerra didn’t handle his first UFC loss very well.

Similar to former New York Yankees pitcher Kevin Brown (who famously broke his hand punching a wall following a loss to the Baltimore Orioles), the TUF: Brazil 1 featherweight winner freaked out and attacked the surrounding infrastructure when faced with defeat. Instead of breaking his hand, though, Bezerra ended up ripping his arm open, slicing himself so badly he required 22 stitches to put his limb back together.

Just like every other fighter, he felt compelled to tweet out pictures of his injury and really, who can resist taking a look? Check it out here:

That, my friends, is ugly.

Bezerra was suspended twice following the fight, a 40-second knockout loss to Jeremy “L’il Heathen” Stephens. The first is the usual medical suspension, which will notch him 180 days out of the cage. He also earned himself a rare 30-day “unsportsmanlike conduct” penalty for his outburst, which will be added to the end of his medical suspension.

The injury allegedly happened due to elbowing a door. This is nowhere near the first example of this kind of outburst from a TUF-related fighter.

Perhaps the most infamous incident of The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights was when coach Quinton “Rampage” Jackson elbowed, kicked and headbutted holes into a door before tearing it off the hinges. In Season 11, Tito Ortiz took a page from ‘Page’s book and smacked a door off its frame.

Bezerra‘s UFC career exploded out of the gate, as he beat Godofredo Castro to take the season, then followed it up with back-to-back stoppage victories over Sam Sicilia and Mike Wilkinson. In spite of the loss, “Jason” still has a bright future ahead of him.
