MMA has brought us some great feuds over the years and given us some moments that will live on in infamy.

Rashad Evans and Quinton Jackson added even more appeal to their eventual The Ultimate Fighter coaches’ fight with their hate-fueled Internet back-and-forth. Jason “Mayhem” Miller told Dana White to “kill himself” over Twitter shortly before he was arrested for vandalizing a church. Chael Sonnen randomly took swipes at UFC Octagon Girl Arianny Celeste.

Now, Strikeforce middleweights Lorenz Larkin and champion Luke Rockhold are exchanging words on Twitter after word came down that Rockhold was pulling out of the Strikeforce: Champions card in January.

Larkin fired the first salvos:

The two were originally scheduled to fight at the long-cancelled Strikeforce: Cormier vs. Mir. Rockhold vs. Larkin was meant to be the event’s co-main event, but Rockhold was forced to withdraw from the card due to a wrist injury. They were then rumored to fight in January, but Rockhold has since pulled out, claiming that the wrist injury continues to linger.

Rockhold appeared on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani shortly after responding to Larkin‘s tweets and expressed interest in fighting Larkin in his UFC debut.

The two are fighting on Twitter as I post this, so make sure to follow @Lukerockhold and @da_monsoon to see how things progress.
