We now know that UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will coach opposite Cat Zingano in the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter after Zingano earned a third-round TKO win over Miesha Tate on Saturday, April 13.
Following Zingano’s victory, the UFC women’s bantamweight champ held court with the assembled media and spoke about the result of the Zingano-versus-Tate bout as well as her feelings on coaching and then fighting against Zingano. She also ran down her coaching credentials and gave some insight into how she will approach her coaching stint on the show.
Rousey also spoke about her mixed feelings on the bout between Uriah Hall and Kelvin Gastelum in the evening’s co-main event.
When Rousey was asked about how things have changed for her since she became UFC champion, she replied the “fan response has been amazing. It’s cool, I love it.”
TUF 18 will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1 and will debut on September 4.
