Sports fans love a girl who can fight and put her opponents down with nothing but a vicious mindset and a quiet smile. Those same qualities have helped put many sexy athletes on the map, and we believe it’s time for Ronda Rousey to truly get noticed.

And apparently so do the folks over at the ESPN Body Issue headquarters, as they are set to have the Strikeforce women’s bantamweight champion herself grace their pages, according to MMAJunkie.com.

Now that she’s escaped the shadows of fellow beauty Miesha Tate, defeating her rival with an armbar four minutes into the first round earlier this month, Rousey can take her carefree attitude and tough exterior to the top of the food chain.

With icons such as Gina Carano and Jon Jones having flipped the script for the Body Issue previously, it’s not as if Rousey is sailing into uncharted waters. But she may be ready to make a huge splash.

Considering Rousey’s fight against Tate had 431,000 Showtime viewers, it’s safe to say the Body Issue is hoping to witness a significant increase in readers for this coming fall, when we hope it arrives on the stands.

Until that time, Rousey will comfortably relax to the nice tune of 5-0. Five matches, five deadly armbars, five reasons to bare it all for a new audience.

They’ll be plenty of new crowds waiting eagerly for Rousey’s upcoming appearance.
